Prison Sex Doll on eBay

It looks like one of the dolls used for the Prison Sex video is up for auction on eBay. The description reads: Up for auction, this rarest of rare Tool collectables…. a doll model from Tool’s 1994 “Prison Sex” video, directed by Adam Jones. 100% authentic, this was a gift from Adam Jones. A very reluctant sale and major sacrifice, I’m very sad to have to let this go. I’m… Read More »Prison Sex Doll on eBay

Videos from the Undertow Sessions

Joelsy on Toolarmy pointed out to me a couple of videos from Sylvia Massey, which were filmed during the Undertow sessions. Highlights include: Henry Rollins recording his part for Bottom Maynard sporting a very dodgy looking beard. He kinda looks like Les Claypool. Some cool drumming from Danny One of Adam’s Pigs The guys shooting, beating the shit out and generally disassembling of an old piano. Using in Disgustipated I… Read More »Videos from the Undertow Sessions

Aria Charts 2006

I was having a look through the charts for the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) 2006 Album sales charts today, have a look at where Tool sat as far as sales were concerned last year.  Tool’s 10,000 Days found itself in position 37.  Bands selling more than Tool last year included Scissor Sisters (Ta Dah!), Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Stadium Arcadium) and The Killers (Sam’s Town).  Some of the bands… Read More »Aria Charts 2006

Adelaide Big Day Out Sold Out!

Replayee informed me that the Big Day Out site has confirmed that the Adelaide Big Day Out is now also sold out.  As seems to be the trend though, there will be more tickets made available on Monday the 29th of January at 11:00am.  Apparently you need to tune in to Triple J that morning to found out where the tickets are being sold, but I’d say it’s a reasonably… Read More »Adelaide Big Day Out Sold Out!

Tool Collection

Invisible222 from Toolarmy posted today that he’s upload a whole stack of photo’s from his Tool Collection up onto Photobucket.  It’s mainly promo CD’s and alternate covers, but there’s also some  cool posters, as well as promotional matierial sent to record stores and such.  If you’re interested in Tool merchandise, then it’s well worth checking out.

Hellboy’s Best of 2006

I know some people out there are interested in my opinion. If you’re not one of those, stop reading now. You won’t find (much) Tool information in this post. Since I don’t listen to every single album out there, rather than try and compile a top ten list out of the probably 11 albums I’ve listen to this year, I’m just going to post a few mini-reviews on albums that… Read More »Hellboy’s Best of 2006

Rare Aenima Vinyl

Some more stuff for collectors on eBay again, this time a rare Aenima Promo Vinyl.  According to the comment it’s the rarest and most sought after Tool Vinyl in existance.  I would have thought the Lateralus Signed vinyl was rarer, but anyway…. Currently bidding puts it at US$355 with still a couple of days left to go.

December Newsletter (at last…)

Blair posted the December Newsletter today on Toolband/Army.  I found it to be somewhat more interesting than usual, since it discusses Lipan Conjuring from 10,000 Days.  Not a bad read, but don’t expect any kind of huge insight into Tool.
