Salival on Australian Ebay

Someone has put an unopened DVD copy of Salival up on Australian Ebay.  Bidding starts at $500 and there’s a Buy Now price of $600.  He spouts some bullshit of their being a rare sticker (which I doubt) but otherwise the package seems to be in pretty good condition.  If you’re in the market, check it out.

Fourtheye Update

Just a quick warning, WordPress has released an update recently, and I’m taking the time to perform this update in the next hour. I’ll be activating and de-activating plugins while doing this, so expect some funny behaviour. I’ll let you know when things are back to normal…. Update: Well, looks like the upgrade has gone smoothly.  Let me know if you see anything unusual, so so far so good.

Maynard is hawt!

Last weeks poll posed the question “what version of Maynard do you prefer?”. To my surprise the voting was a little closer than expected, however it came as no surprise to see the blue Aenima version of Maynard taking the win. Also seems that many of you like the current mohawked version of Maynard as well, despite a few derogatory comments regarding is weight. Here’s the results: Aenima – Blue… Read More »Maynard is hawt!

Big Day Out Timetables & Maps

The Big Day Out timetables and maps are now up on the Big Day Out Website.  From the couple I’ve looked at, Tool start at either 9:00 or 8:30 and have been allocated 90 minutes.  Looks as though You Am I seem to be the band playing at the same time as the headline band this year (excluding NZ), which is a shame, because they’re one of the few bands… Read More »Big Day Out Timetables & Maps

Triple J Hottest 100

Triple J are running their annual Hottest 100 again this year, and for the first time in 5 years Tool are eligable.  For those who don’t know what it is, Triple J is an annual online poll in which Triple J listeners vote for their favorite 10 tracks of the year.  Then, normally around Australia Day, Triple J play a countdown of the top 100 tracks.  Voting is open to… Read More »Triple J Hottest 100

Adam in Australian Guitar

As I do every month, I picked up latest edition of Australian Guitar magazine.  Like Rolling Stone they’ve also run a Big Day Out feature, this time running a much better interview with Adam.  The interview is really quite good, and for guitar geeks like me talks about his gear in a bit more detail.  Here’s a few highlights. On the Big Day Out: AG: How does playing a festival… Read More »Adam in Australian Guitar

Xmas List Poll Results

This weeks results are in, and it seems overwhelmingly that you guys want the Live DVD that has been mentioned many times on Toolband. Following that most of you want either Aenima 2 (whatever that may mean), Signed Lateralus Vinyl or the Vicarious DVD. I voted with the rest of you in this want, hoping to get a Live DVD. Maybe one day. Tool Live DVD 209 Votes Aenima 2… Read More »Xmas List Poll Results

Ipecac New Year

Ipecac Recordings posted a message the other day outlining it’s plans for 2007.  Apparently we can expect releases from Tomahawk, The Melvins and Goon Moon (featuring Twiggy Ramierez).  There will also be a couple of DVD’s and “some big surprises”.  It’s also good to see that Unsane have signed up with Ipecac as well.  For those that haven’t heard them, they’re a hard rock band in the vain of Helmet,… Read More »Ipecac New Year
