TA Xmas Sale, Chet Zar, Maynard Interview

Blair posted on Toolarmy last night that for the next two weeks, orders received via Toolarmy (no word if it also includes sales via Toolband) will be randomly selected to get an autographed photo of the band. Hopefully this applies to people waiting for their orders to be sent (ie- people who have already ordered the Platinum Lateralus Plaque). What you order is irrelevant, so feel free to order the… Read More »TA Xmas Sale, Chet Zar, Maynard Interview

Melbourne BDO Selling Out, “We’ll be back”

I received a newsletter from the Big Day Out organisers, who tell me that the Melbourne Big Day Out is nearly sold out.  For you Victorians this may be the last opportunity for you to see Tool, as it looks like no other shows will be announced.  Tickets are sold out from stores and are still available only through Ticketmaster and the Big Day Out website. Foamy was lucky enough… Read More »Melbourne BDO Selling Out, “We’ll be back”

Maynard Takes Aim

Greasy on Toolarmy posted some info and pictures of the Signed Target he ordered from the Puscifer website recently. He tells us that the target is signed by Maynard, and is personalised and includes a description of the firearm used to shoot it.

Tomahawk in 2007, Fantômas Later

Some news regarding the bands Tomahawk and Fantômas was posted on Toolarmy by Bastardometer earlier today.  It seems as though the new Tomahawk CD is coming eventually, and that the guys hope to record by the end of the year.  The reason for the delay has been Patton’s commitments to Peeping Tom.  The new CD is said to consist of versions of public domain Native American songs.  Lipan Conjuring anyone?… Read More »Tomahawk in 2007, Fantômas Later

Another DC Interview

Danny seems to be the one giving out all the interviews at the moment, and here’s the latest one from Drowned In Sound: With Tool being lauded for their incendiary, imagistic shows, why has there never been a live DVD or even CD? Well, we really planned on making it during last year but we just ran out of time. At the end of the Lateralus tour we made a… Read More »Another DC Interview

DC Interview

Found an interesting interview with Danny today, seems to have been done recently in the lead up to the forth coming shows in the UK: Soundtrack-like indeed, and with a flair for creating the visuals to accompany the music in house, has movie making ever surfaced on the agenda? “We’ve had pretty intense discussions about it. I think if any band would be capable of doing a full length feature… Read More »DC Interview

More Meshuggah

Bastardometer from Toolarmy posted some more Meshuggah news for us all, including some Drum Workshop dates with their drummer Tomas Haake. An audio recording of MESHUGGAH bassist Dick Lövgren and drummer Tomas Haake‘s clinic on Wednesday (Nov. 15) in Örebro, Sweden has been posted online: Part#1, Part#2. A MESHUGGAH fan by the name of Anders who attended the clinic put together the following report: “It was like this: First they… Read More »More Meshuggah

Meshuggah Update

G emailed me today to let me know that there’s a new Meshuggah interview available on the net.  I haven’t listened to it, but I’m told the guys are currently writing material for their follow-up to Catch Thirty Three, with demos to be recorded in December.  The release date is expected to be in the fall, presumably of the Northern Hemisphere. Check the interview out here.
