Fourtheye Readers Best Albums of 2019 poll

Fourtheye Readers Best Albums of 2019 poll

Another lap around the slowly dying sun, and as it tradition the world creates it’s collection of Best Album lists. Here at Fourtheye I expect we all know that Fear Inoculum will win this poll, but I am interested in your next best 10 albums, regardless of genre. So far, I reckon it’s been a decent year for albums – there’s been many excellent albums, especially on the heavier end… Read More »Fourtheye Readers Best Albums of 2019 poll

Second Sydney Tool show added!

Second Sydney Tool show added!

Pre-sales seemed to go pretty well for most Fourtheye readers I’ve been in touch with, and some added good news for Sydney fans is the extra Tool show announced for the 18th of February. There’s no pre-sale for that show – all tickets go on sale tomorrow with the public sale. Speaking of which, the public sale of the remaining tickets for all shows kicks off once more at 2pm… Read More »Second Sydney Tool show added!

Justin Chancellor talks to Bass Magazine

Earlier this week a fellow Fourtheye comrade pointed me towards an excellent interview by Jon D’Auria featuring Justin Chancellor from Tool. Found in issue 5 of Bass Magazine it’s a pretty good read, especially for 4-string aficionados: Every song feels very complete. Do you feel that you were able to achieve your full potential, front to back? When you’re in the studio, there is always the element of asking if… Read More »Justin Chancellor talks to Bass Magazine

Tool Newsletters aplenty!

Tool Newsletters aplenty!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about Tool Newsletters, and I feel bad. Blair’s a friend and a great supporter of all things Tool, and his stuff is worth reading. He’s posted a couple lately, both of which recount some anecdotes regarding the band, and possibly hint at further surprises to come. The October Newsletter predictably covers Halloween, and not only contains a few photos of band members out… Read More »Tool Newsletters aplenty!

Evidence points to Tool in Australia 2020

Quick post this morning, with Aussie tour promoters Frontier Touring dropping so not so subtle hints that Tool will be announcing shows for February 2020 in about 10 days time. There’s a social media competition as well, so get onboard and feel the hype! Looks like dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland. Sucks to be from Adelaide 🙁 but I guess I wouldn’t rule a show out yet.
