Big Business to release Battlefields Forever

Big Business have called a press release to announce their new album Battlefields Forever which will be released on Halloween for your listening pleasure. Sounds like they won’t be touring for a while though, as singer/bassplayer Jared is expecting a baby shortly, so no tours until Spring. This would also include the Melvins, so I’m not sure what version of them we’ll see here in December but I’m expecting it’ll… Read More »Big Business to release Battlefields Forever

My Tool Top 10: #1 Aenema

Many of you have already worked out what the number one in my Tool Top 10 is by using your powers of deduction. The same powers that you use to pull the mystery clues from each of Blair’s newsletters. Number one is of course Aenema. To be honest the top 3 tracks on my list (Third Eye, Lateralus and Aenema) are pretty much interchangeable. There’s a number of reasons I… Read More »My Tool Top 10: #1 Aenema

My Tool Top 10: #2 Lateralus

What’s the best part about Tool‘s Lateralus? What makes it the number two in my Tool Top 10? That catchy riffs with Adam and Justin intertwining? Maynard’s Fibonacci inspired (deliberate or otherwise) lyrics? Danny’s polyrythmic drumming? The cathartic last minute of the song? The laser show during the live set? All of those things appeal to me, but my favorite parts of Lateralus are both guitar solos, and they are… Read More »My Tool Top 10: #2 Lateralus

Tool September Newsletter

Blair posted the Tool Newsletter for the month of September. Not really much to report except that Danny & Justin have been fishing, and that perhaps I should too. As much as I love the great outdoors, there is no time for fishing, as I have a Tool Top 10 to complete!

My Tool Top 10: #3 Third Eye

I’ve been a little busy of late, so my Tool Top 10 has been on the backburner, however now that things are settling down, it’s time to work towards the top 3! I don’t think my top 3 will come as a surprise to many of you, though perhaps the order may. Anyway, number three is fittingly Third Eye. There were plenty of eye opening moments for me on Aenima.… Read More »My Tool Top 10: #3 Third Eye

Fourtheye is back!

We’re back! Turns out my porno stash was getting out of hand and the disk was full! While we were offline Danny lost and found his dog, over 100 people emailed me about some kids playing 46&2, and zero progress on the new Tool album was made!

New Puscifer recordings in the works?

A few clues have been dropped over Instagram in the last week are pointing to some new Puscifer material being prepared for release. One shows Mat Mitchell tracking something (image below) while another is a video which has a track with both Maynard and Carina singing. It doesn’t sound like an existing Puscifer track or remix to me, so I’m thinking that we may be getting a new EP sometime… Read More »New Puscifer recordings in the works?
