Blair has posted a Tool Newsletter for May 2020, and this time around it has a little more information than we’ve seen in a little while. It serves as an update mostly for side projects of various band members, most of which I’ve posted about already. Perhaps the most interesting part is Justin‘s update, where he discusses new music coming from M.T.void very soon, as well as a hint of… Read More »Tool Newsletter May 2020
Good news for fans of old Tool interviews – Kabir has used this quarantine time to update the archive of Tool articles contained on his site Toolshed: I’m sure there’s some interesting reading there, so if you’re at a loose end during this time period, get stuck into it!

In between being a new Dad, and writing a new Tool EP (lol) it seems that Tool drummer Danny Carey has found the time to appear on Daniel Romano’s latest creation: Forever Love’s Fool Danny’s playing tabla and percussion on this proggy album (FOREVER LOVE’S FOOL) by DANIEL ROMANO’S OUTFIT. That’s one way to keep your mind occupied during the quarantine. Thanks to Ben Sherazi for tracking files sent via… Read More »Daniel Romano’s Outfit featuring Danny Carey
A quick update today from Tool land – guitar player Adam Jones gives us a quick lesson on how to play a section of Pnuema via Instagram. It’s a nice part, one I’ve attempted to play a few times with limited success, so looking forward to analysing it a bit over the coming days: I gotta say, I might just have small fingers or something, but he makes it look… Read More »Adam Jones gives us a Pnuema lesson
The Tool FAQ created by Kabir from Toolshed is a primary source of information for many Tool fans. It documents many of the quirks and queries that fans had, especially focused on the early days of the band. Since Toolshed has been in archive mode for some time now, it’s unclear if and when the FAQ might get updated, so a fellow Tool fan Steven W. Luttrell took it upon… Read More »An updated Tool FAQ emerges
No surprises here really, but Tool have postponed the remaining dates scheduled for 2020, and I’ve pasted the comment from Toolband below. It’s obviously a challenging time for bands and the music industry at the moment, and while the band are keen to reschedule, I personally think that we’re unlikely to see significant touring from anyone until 2021, at least until a vaccine or more definitive solution to the COVID-19… Read More »Tool postpone remaining 2020 tour dates

This morning they have confirmed that the shows in April, and most of them in May have officially been postponed. Details are below: TOOL’s April 16 to May 5 North American tour dates have been… Read More »Tool postponed April & May dates
News this morning that promoters Live Nation are planning to postpone all tours due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Importantly for us, this would include coming Tool dates across North America. The Live Nation stock price has taken a considerable nosedive today as well. Music promoters are important for what we love, so hopefully this is only a temporary setback. Billboard writes: Recognizing national concerns over the spread of the coronavirus,… Read More »Live Nation to postpone all tours due to COVID-19
