Howerdel discusses new A Perfect Circle material

In a recent interview with Gotham Radio, Billy Howerdel talks about A Perfect Circle, new songs, the upcoming tour and Ashes Divide.  Here’s a snippet: So will we hear new APC music on the tour? “We are gonna hear at least a song, I would say,” Billy tells me. “One of them is very, very close to being done. And from there, things could come together once we get on… Read More »Howerdel discusses new A Perfect Circle material

50 years of Carey

That’s right, it’s finally May 10th (in Australia) and that means Danny has hit the big 5-0!  Congratulations old man!  I hope those lucky enough to be going to the party enjoy it as much as I enjoy Danny’s drumming:

Decoy Album Detected

As noted by Mareckii there is an interesting new post on Danny Carey’s site which talks about a recent BBQ at his place.  It includes this tasty snippet: As the evening progressed, the party moved down to the lower house (so that even more of Danny’s neighours could be disturbed).  There, in a basement music room filled with analog synths and vintage guitars, those not to bloated began to have… Read More »Decoy Album Detected

KanAPerfectCircleSas

It came to my attention the other day (and I forgot to post about it – thanks Zach) that A Perfect Circle also recently joined the KanRockSas festival in Kansas on either the 5th or 6th of August. Other notable acts joining APC on the bill are Primus, Muse and The Flaming Lips. Here’s a round up of dates confirmed for the 2011 tour: Sunday, May 22, Crew Stadium, Columbus,… Read More »KanAPerfectCircleSas

Tool Newsletter April 2011

I discusses mainly the Royal Wedding and also touches on Tool‘s progress: Q: “Hey, Can you tell me what the new Tool album sounds like?” A: Well, so far, it sounds like Stockhausen meets Jimmy Durante. No, actually I haven’t heard any of it yet. I did, however, see… Read More »Tool Newsletter April 2011

A Perfect Circle join Ottawa Bluesfest

In what’s turning out to be a busy day for A Perfect Circle announcements, it seems as though they will also be playing at the Ottawa Bluesfest on the 10th of July.  This festival, which spans a couple of weeks is bringing a pretty amazing lineup of acts including Soundgarden, Huey Lewis & the News, Joe Satriani and Shpongle.  The official website seems to be having problems at the moment,… Read More »A Perfect Circle join Ottawa Bluesfest

A Perfect Circle playing Lollapalooza

As I predicted a little while back, A Perfect Circle were today announced as part of the Lollapalooza lineup for 2011.  A Perfect Circle seem to be one of the second tier acts, and other bands joining them on the three day festival include Foo Fighters, Ween, Muse, Deftones, Death From Above 1979 and The Cars.  Overall it seems like a quite reasonable lineup, and much lighter on shitty metal… Read More »A Perfect Circle playing Lollapalooza
