Tool Army need your help

An email came out today from Toolarmy (I didn’t seem to get a copy, despite being a member), asking for help in locating some specific pieces of Tool art.  If you have any thing listed below in your collection, then please check out the website mentioned and submit it. Dear Tool Army, The band would greatly appreciate a little help. We are looking for samples of advertisements that contain certain… Read More »Tool Army need your help

‘Wickedest Books’ Launch Party

Blair’s latest book “The Wickedest Books in the World: Confessions of an Aleister Crowley Bibliophile’” is having a launch party at the Cha Cha Lounge in LA on the 23rd of March.  Danny, who wrote the foreword for the book will be at the party, and possibly other Tool members if I’m reading it right. You will be able to purchase the book on the night, and get it autographed,… Read More »‘Wickedest Books’ Launch Party

Soundwave 2010

I’ve been looking forward to Soundwave 2010 for quite a while now.  Not only were one of my favorite bands Faith No More reuniting, but it also featured several other favorites of mine, including Tool touring buddies Meshuggah and Isis.  Forecast for the day was originally in the high 30s, but thankfully this didn’t turn out to be the case – it was a beautiful Adelaide day in the end!… Read More »Soundwave 2010

Playing Catchup!

I’ve been quite busy the last few days, so have a few bits and pieces to post, none of which are amazingly exciting though.  At least it will clear my Inbox!  I may also get around to posting my Soundwave review which is sitting in my Drafts folder! The most important one is that Alex Grey and his wife were involved in a serious car accident last week.  They both… Read More »Playing Catchup!

Melvins Tour Details, Album Art

According to an article on Limewire, the forthcoming Melvins tour will include dates with Isis, and for those shows without Isis, the Melvins will play two sets.  Not sure which one I’d be more interested in to be honest: The Melvins may have just recently had their 25th band birthday, but they’re showing no signs of slowing down. They’ll be supporting The Bride Screamed Murderall over the country in June… Read More »Melvins Tour Details, Album Art

Maynard likes to “absorb life” between albums

In a short interview with Rock Radio Maynard commented that he likes to take time between Tool albums: "Some new band, their first two records are the ones that are the freshest, ’cause they’ve had all their lives to write them. And then that third record ends up being all about the inside of a bus and something that happened backstage ’cause what else have they seen? And I’ve pretty… Read More »Maynard likes to “absorb life” between albums

Maynard on The Aquarian

Patrick Slevin from The Aquarian Weekly has this week interviewed Maynard about his work with Puscifer.  It’s one of the more interesting interviews I’ve read, so check it out. Here’s a not so random quote: The EP that was recently released was only available digitally, as well as the Lustmord dub mixes. Do you expect to continue releasing physical records? Not yet. As this project develops and as it gains… Read More »Maynard on The Aquarian

The Record Company Screamed “BUY”

The PRP has released some info in regards to the new Melvins album.  It will be called The Bride Screamed Murder and should be released on June 1st.  Once again the album will be released on the Ipecac label.  Personally I can’t wait!

Salival.fr interviews Cam De Leon

Christophe from Salival.fr conducted an interview with Tool associated artist Cam De Leon recently, and is now available on his website.  Here’s the question I know you’re all dying to ask him: If you don’t mind, can you tell us more about what happened for this great combination to cease ? Well, I appreciate your interest and concern about that, and I’m sure it’s coming from a good place, but… Read More »Salival.fr interviews Cam De Leon
