Gear Stories With Sylvia Massy

I stumbled across an article on Mix today by Sylvia Massy (producer of Undertow) in which she talks about the challenges associated with recording Maynard’s voice on the album.  Well worth reading, especially for tech heads: Tool’s Undertow album is filled with blood-vessel-popping screams, like on the song “Crawl Away.” I had heard them in rehearsals, I heard them onstage. Music The year was probably a reasonably quiet year for music I thought.  According to… Read More »Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

dannycarey.org Back in Business…

Danny’s website seems to be back online today, with the new redesign that has been promised for a while now.  It’s quite Flash intensive, and features some cool sections.  Amongst other things it has an extremely tasty video section… Thanks to all of you who emailed me last night about this: I was too busy celebrating the arrival of 2010 to put this up!  I them meantime, stay tuned for… Read More »dannycarey.org Back in Business…

Toolarmy Gingerbread House Competition

Turns out there was a Toolarmy Gingerbread House making competition, and the winner happens to be R Stump from Hollywood!  Obviously no relation to Rynne! Good news for her (and us) is that part of her prize is “getting to sit in on a writing/arranging session with the band members in the new year”. Happy Holidays from Fourtheye (and Tool)!
