Offline by Matthew Santoro

Posted on Toolband/Army today is a quick article talking about a new Sci-Fi movie from Matthew Santoro called Offline. The movie, as well as looking pretty cool apparently takes some influence from Adam Jones: My goal was to make a dark and gritty sci-fi/horror based cybernetic dream experience type thing with a couple of good friends, a camera, some duct tape, and a computer. Pure Gorilla as they call it.… Read More »Offline by Matthew Santoro

Maynard James Keenan on Comedy

Leonard Pierce from the Milwaukee Decider has an interview with Maynard up today, this time discussing comedy, including his attempts at comedy, and some comments on the genre in general: D: Who’s the funniest non-comedian you’ve ever worked with? MJK: A guy who should have his own talk show, if you could just get—you know how it is, you have guys who once you aim a camera at them, all of… Read More »Maynard James Keenan on Comedy

Blair’s Cryptic Post

Blair Someone has posted another cryptic article on Toolband/Army today, this time alluding to preparation for the upcoming tour: I and a few others have to go to California next week to start getting some things ready for this summer run. I’ve had some work here that I could have dragged through the coming week but decided to gracefully duck out of it and grant myself some freetime before departure.… Read More »Blair’s Cryptic Post

Danny Comments on the Tour

According to a recent article on Blabbermouth: TOOL drummer Danny Carey told The Pulse of Radio that unlike some groups, the members of the band still travel together on the road. “We pretty much all travel together,” he said. “We kind of have to, you know, just for the logistics of everything going down. The schedule gets pretty tight, especially at the beginning of the tour, ’cause there are lots… Read More »Danny Comments on the Tour

Fairfax Patriot Center Tickets

Toolband mentioned tickets for the show at the Patriot Center in Fairfax as being on sale on the 30th of May – however it appears they are on sale now!  By the looks of things it is close to selling out but tickets were available a moment ago when I checked.  Don’t procrastinate!

Unleashed: The Story of “Tool”

Enok from Toolarmy messaged me today to tell me about a Tool book he found on Amazon.  Entitled Unleashed: The Story of Tool, the blurb tells us: Tool are the Pink Floyd of the 21st Century. Far more than just a metal band, the California – based quartet of master – musicians – Maynard James Keenan, Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor and Adam Jones – have taken the concept of heavy… Read More »Unleashed: The Story of “Tool”

APC on Guitar Hero 5, Atlanta change

A couple of readers emailed me to let me know that A Perfect Circle will be appearing on Guitar Hero 5.  Details of this news and other bands announced can be found at Rolling Stone.  No word on what track will appear, but I’d put my money on it being Judith. A couple of tour changes were announced on Toolband today.  Firstly the Atlanta show which appeared to have a… Read More »APC on Guitar Hero 5, Atlanta change

Toronto Confirmed

I was forwarded an email just a moment ago from Hodge at Toolnavy, while confirms that Tool are playing in Toronto on the 6th of August at the Molson Ampittheatre.  Great news for those Canadians hoping for a show! (unless you don’t live anywhere near Toronto)

Toronto Rumour, Danny’s Drum

Got an email today talking of “rumours flying around” about a Toronto Tool gig at the Molson Ampitheatre on the 7th of August. Seems to fit into their current schedule, but I’ve heard nothing concrete at this stage.  Have added this to the rumours section on the  Tour Page. Also, Blair posted an article on Toolband talking about a Volto! gig on the 5th of June.  Included with the article… Read More »Toronto Rumour, Danny’s Drum
