Another Danny Carey update on new Tool album

There’s another update from Danny Carey in regards to the new Tool album floating around, and this is courtesy of Drum Magazine: “It’s gonna be really good,” he said. “We’re really excited about it. We’re getting really close, too. We’re probably going to write the rest of this year and then start tracking early in the new year. So, it’ll be out some time in 2018.” Good news it seems,… Read More »Another Danny Carey update on new Tool album

Tom Morello on new Tool album + Northern Invasion

Tom Morello has reported on Instagram recently that he’s had a chance to check out the work in progress on the new Tool album: Had the honor of being the first outsider to hear new #TOOL music today!! Still just instrumentals but sounded epic, majestic, symphonic, brutal, beautiful, tribal, mysterious, deep, sexy and VERY Tool. Really great. So excited to hear the record when it’s finished. Danny talks Legend of the Seagullmen with MetalSucks, drops Tool update

On a recent MetalSucks podcast, in which they speak with Jimmy Hayward and Danny Carey, the pair discuss all things regarding Legend of Seagull, and intriguingly how it ties in with future Tool plans.  It’s an interesting interview, though the audio is pretty poor, so hard to follow at times. The take I’m sure that most of you are interested in, is where Danny talks about Tool’s future plans, going so… Read More »Danny talks Legend of the Seagullmen with MetalSucks, drops Tool update

A Perfect Circle have announced a couple of shows in the UK – one in Manchester on the 12th of June, and another in London on the 13th.  i think it’d be a safe assumption that we’ll see more European dates, I expect some of which will be festivals.  Here’s the poster: Speaking of festivals – word is the Download Festival is coming to Australia in March next year.  Given… Read More »A Perfect Circle announce UK dates

Billy talks about the coming Perfect Circle album

In a new interview Billy Howerdel from A Perfect Circle talks about progress on their next album.  For those who want the tl;dr version: writing is pretty much done, and they are using Dave Sardy to produce it: How is that process affecting work on the new recording? It’s great to be able to sit back and have someone at the helm driving the computer. It frees me up to… Read More »Billy talks about the coming Perfect Circle album

The Legend of the Seagullmen, a band featuring Danny Carey, as well as Brent Hinds from Mastodon will play it’s debut show at the Primus NYE Party in San Francisco later this year.  Going by social media posts recently it sounds like they’ve been recording as well, so expect some news on an album sometime eventually. Listen to The Doomed by A Perfect Circle

As expected A Perfect Circle have dropped their new single today entitled The Doomed.  You can listen to it via the Youtube clip below. Personally, I think it’s alright – certainly the best thing they’ve released since Thirteenth Step.  Will be interesting to see how the rest of the album sounds.  Certainly has a couple of Puscifer-like moments, which is not entirely unexpected, but it chugs along nicely. What do… Read More »Listen to The Doomed by A Perfect Circle
