Maynard “Big Brother” to Christopher Meloni

I came across an article on Wine Spectator who talk to Law & Order start Christopher Meloni. In the interview he mentions his relationship with Maynard: WS: I understand that winemaker, rock singer and Wine Spectator blogger Maynard James Keenan is something of a wine mentor to you. Tell us about that. CM: We get together in New York to drink wine, usually the day before he does a concert… Read More »Maynard “Big Brother” to Christopher Meloni

RIP Albert Hoffman

Albert Hofmann, ther guy who first synthesized LSD, passed away over night at the age of 102. Tool fans will now that Tool have been inspired by LSD in the past, and he is referred to on the 10,000 Days track Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann)

Australian Bands You Should Listen To…

A fiar percentage of our readers are from the US and other countries around the world, and since things are relatively quiet on the Tool front (at least until the next issue of Revolver comes out), I though it might be a good idea to try and introduce some of our overseas guests to some of our best Australian bands.  I’m not talking about AC/DC, Silverchair or Wolfmother, I mean… Read More »Australian Bands You Should Listen To…

Maynard joins The Nightwatchmen

According to this article at the Chicago Tribune, Maynard (as well as Perry Farrell and The Coup’s Boots and Ike Riley) will be joining the Nightwatchmen (Tom Morello’s solo acoustic show) at the gig this Thursday at Park West. Apparently it’s mentioned on The Nightwatchmen Myspace site, but I couldn’t see it. Entry costs $10 and it all ages.

Maynard on the Radio

A recent post on Blabbermouth tells us that Maynard will be co-hosting Jonesy’s Jukebox April 23rd between 12 & 2pm LA time. Apparently the show can be streamed (if it hasn’t already happened…) here. Now word as to what he’s talking about, but Puscifer will probably the topic. No idea if Tool is a touchy subject this time around!

Remixes available on Puscifer.com

Oldesch from Toolarmy let me know that a couple of tracks from the V is for Viagra remix album are streaming at Puscifer.com. They are Sour Grapes, Late 4 Dinner mix and Queen B, Narcovice mix. The Queen B mix has a nice disco/techno vibe to it.

Relax…

According to an exclusive Toolarmy post: Good things are coming… Be patient… Don’t speculate… Good things are coming… Just relax… The post is accompanied by a picture take by Camella of a couple of deck-chairs on the beach, possibly sometime around sunset. I have no idea what this means. Should I or shouldn’t I speculate….

Tool in Revolver

According to Adrian on Toolarmy, a special issue of Revolver will be dedicated to Tool (Blair wasn’t bullshitting!). The issue, out on the 6th of May will contain interviews, unseen pictures, sketches, video storyboards from Adam, and other stuff most likely related to Tool. No idea on whether it talks about Tool recording again, but should be worth the read.
