AFL Season Starting Soon…..

  • Uncategorized

With the AFL (Australian Rules Football League for those non-Australians) starting up again soon, just wondering if any of you are interested in a special Fourtheye tipping competition. There will be no prizes apart from the honour of winning, and the shame of coming last. Comment below to show your interest, and if enough people are up for it, then I’ll start one up.

Danny Says….

Tigran contacted me the other day, saying he ran into Danny at a Jazz Show at the La Ve Lee club in LA. Apparently, Danny suggested the Pigmy Love Circus may be doing some stuff in the next few months (possible some shows and/or recording) before Tool start up again in April. Tigran presumed this meant more shows, but I guess in light of recent news it means they may… Read More »Danny Says….

The Melvins + Big Business Recording & Touring

j0hnnygu3st from Toolarmy sent word of this recent entry on the Big Business Myspace Blog: I know it’s late, but it’s high time we get everyone on the same page for the upcoming year in Big Business. Right now I am sitting in a recording studio in Hollywood as Jared is doubling his bass parts on a new Melvins record. Check out the photos in our photos. It has a… Read More »The Melvins + Big Business Recording & Touring

Meats Meier on Dozo and Tool website redesign

According to Meats Meier’s Myspace site, work is progressing will on the Dozo video for Puscifer: I’m working night and day on the Puscifer Dozo music video. Almost all of the 80 shots have a combination of motion capture, 3d tracking, and live video that have to all work together perfectly. Probably the most the challenging project of my life so far. I bit off a lot on this one… Read More »Meats Meier on Dozo and Tool website redesign

Poll Results: Which Tool album has the best sound?

The last poll asked which Tool album you think has the best sound. Not surprisingly Lateralus took the winners place, with 10,000 Days running a distant second. Unsurprisingly, not a single person selected Opiate! Personally, I think 10,000 Days has a much better sound that Lateralus, which I feel is sometimes a little to clean and crisp. Personally I prefer the dirtier sounds of 10,000 Days and Aenima to Lateralus,… Read More »Poll Results: Which Tool album has the best sound?

Good News, Bad News

Well today I have good news and bad news for you all.  Lets start with the good.  According to a recent MTV interview with Maynard at the Grammys, he claims that Tool will “start writing the new Tool record right away”.  Nice to have a short turnaround for a change.  If this is the case the I’d say we can expect a new album in about 12 months time. The… Read More »Good News, Bad News

February Tool Newsletter 2008

  • Tool

Blair has posted the February Newsletter on Toolband/Army, which rejects claims that the last newsletters had any codes in regards to a Live DVD, new tour dates or a Tool movie.  He doesn’t flat out deny any of this either.  It also explains that members of Tool are currently: Watching basketball games, drinking (nay, producing) fine wine, playing Halo 3 with other members of the Halo Nation, eating McDonald’s at… Read More »February Tool Newsletter 2008

NZ Tour Rumours

Dan emailed me today that he read in a recent copy of the New Zealand music Magazine Rip It Up: I was reading in the latest Rip It Up (NZ music mag) that reporter David Farrier happened to be on the same flight as Tool when he went to one of their shows in the States towards the end of the touring. He asked them the obvious question: “When will… Read More »NZ Tour Rumours

New Tool Album in the works?

According to a Grammy-related Rolling Stone article I read this morning: and, to our extreme pleasure, Maynard James Keenan and drummer Danny Carey from Tool. Maynard promised a new Tool album, the though of which makes our Patron hangover much more manageable. That’s all there is…
