Henry emailed me today and tells me that according to Maynard‘s diary on Caduceus.org, he will be off the road for a while. This statement gives me hope that we’ll see them on the road again, though I’m not holding my breath for any more tours this year….
Word has it that Rage Against The Machine will be touring Australia in January, playing two dates spookily similar to the dates Tool played here in January. Presumably that means Rage Against The Machine will also be headlining the 2008 Big Day Out. Expect a proper announcement soon, unless of course this is a cruel hoax…. Blair sends word via Toolband/Army that there is a Detroit Red Wings Jersey up for auction which features autographs from all four members of Tool. The Jersey has been donated to help the Helping From Heaven foundation, which appears to help out special kids. Current bids put it at over US$350, but if you’re loaded then I’m sure it’d be worth more. Check it out here.

Dan tells me that Ticketmaster have removed the Tool dates for the Nokia Center in October from their website. Were they ever real in the first place? Is this a vast conspiracy? Time will tell….. Update: A couple of posts from Blair on Toolarmy indicate that he knows nothing about these shows either. How or why they appeared on Ticketmaster’s site is anyones guess.
