Tool Rage Playlist Up

For those of you contemplating staying up on Saturday night to watch Tool program Rage, here’s a link that may help.  It’s the list of tracks Tool has programmed to show.  Also being shown that night are all Tool and APC videos, as well as Ween by the looks of things, who, in case you didn’t know, are great! Thanks to James for the link!

Coachella, Rage, Sunrise

There’s plenty of bits and pieces floating around regarding the recent Coachella show.  A couple of guys at Toolnavy has posted some pictures of the show (though the one’s I’ve seen aren’t of great quality) and Distortion Online seems to have a few mp3s. Just a reminder that Tool are appearing on Rage this weekend as guest programmers.  The Rage website has a little preview video of Danny and Maynard… Read More »Coachella, Rage, Sunrise

Snippets

Just a couple of little bits and pieces from the web the last couple of days: Some Signed Lateralus Vinyl is up on eBay at the moment.  Price is up to US$355 right at the moment…. Here’s a little interview with Maynard and Justin from the NZ Herald.  Speaks of rumours of a tour in November, but apart from that isn’t much different from the last 50 or so articles. … Read More »Snippets

Spiralysis

Ben from Spiralysis tells me that he is hosting the recent Triple J interview with Danny and Maynard.  Feel free to head to his website if you want to have a listen.  He also has plenty of interesting videos of the band, and in particular Danny, so it’s well worth the visit. I had a listen to the interview last night, and it was a good interview, though revealed nothing… Read More »Spiralysis

Kabir Posts a Review of 10,000 Days

Owner of the semi-official Tool website TDN (tool.down.net) Kabir last night posted a vague thread at Tool Navy simply saying: “so … i’ll have some more info about the album tonight.” I’m sure most of you reading this were amongst the 500+ fans that were refreshing the site every few seconds desperate for some new information. The site went down after a few hours leaving us all in the lurch… Read More »Kabir Posts a Review of 10,000 Days

Belew, Carey & Claypool

According to The Pulse: Adrian Belew wraps up his conceptual trilogy in Side Three on the Sanctuary Records imprint, getting muddy and funky with guests Les Claypool of Primus, Danny Carey of Tool, and King Crimson bandmate, Robert Fripp. In never really heard much of Side One and Two, though I’ve been told they’re pretty good, and Danny drumming as usual is amazing. Aphex0 on Toolarmy says it will be… Read More »Belew, Carey & Claypool

Tool at Coachella

Just a quickie…. Blair also writes that he spoke to Danny regarding the Coachella gig, and the Tool will be play at least some of the new CD there. Kinda gives me the impression that it’ll be more of the old show + a couple of new songs, rather than the “new” Tool experience, if indeed there is such a thing. Oh and there was some crap about the Schism… Read More »Tool at Coachella

Alex Grey Comments, Butcher/Volto/Tool Live

In the recent CoSM Newsletter, it briefly talks about the 10,000 Days artwork. Nothing particularly new though: Many fans have inquired regarding the album art TOOL has released on Amazon for pre-sale of the album. The cover is an adaptation of Alex Grey’s painting, Net of Being. Blair on Toolband/Army posts today that Butcher played recently with some disturbing new artwork. He also mentions that Volto are playing in the… Read More »Alex Grey Comments, Butcher/Volto/Tool Live

Danny Interview, Alex Grey

I managed to miss this one yesterday, but Danny Carey has said apparently to Launch: “We truly are an alternative band,” Danny said. “It’s an alternative to what other people label as alternative, that actually all sounds the same or whatever. And I think people can identify that and they can relate to it, and they desire the real thing when it’s available. You just gotta stick to your laurels… Read More »Danny Interview, Alex Grey
