Danny on Children of Saturn

I’ve been meaning to mention the last few days that Danny is this weeks guest on the Children of Saturn radio show hosted by Rynne. You can tune in via Radio 23. I can’t remember what time the show starts, but I’m pretty sure it’s sometime in the next hour! Update: Bob has provided me with a link to a recording of the show: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5F41080Z Thanks Bob!

Danny records with Feersum Ennjin

Looks like in between playing with King Crimson, Volto! and writing Tool songs, Danny has found time to record a track with Feersum Ennjin called The Fourth.  Here’s the story from Facebook: We’re moving the release date of "Feersum Ennjin" back to Nov. 22 so we can include a new song, "The Fourth." "The Fourth" was recorded very recently and reunited Paul with his former band mate, Danny Carey, for… Read More »Danny records with Feersum Ennjin

Danny to play with Adrian Belew, Tony Levin & Pat Mastellotto

On Blair’s advice, with the worlds worst internet connection, I waited for 5 minutes for a bunch of shitty flash to load on Danny’s website for the following excellent news: Danny will be performing three shows with the Adrian Belew Power Trio featuring Tony Levin & Pat Mastellotto. The shows are: October 22 – Galaxy Theatre, Santa Ana, California October 23 – The Foundry, Phoenix, Arizona October 24 – The… Read More »Danny to play with Adrian Belew, Tony Levin & Pat Mastellotto

Carey, Claypool, Copeland, Peart

Ever wanted to watch a crazy jam featuring Danny, Neil Peart, Les Claypool and Stewart Copeland.  Well now you can!  Head over to Neil Peart’s website, and view Danny playing some trombone and drums on an unnamed track. Thanks to BDP for the tip!

50 years of Carey

That’s right, it’s finally May 10th (in Australia) and that means Danny has hit the big 5-0!  Congratulations old man!  I hope those lucky enough to be going to the party enjoy it as much as I enjoy Danny’s drumming:

Decoy Album Detected

As noted by Mareckii there is an interesting new post on Danny Carey’s site which talks about a recent BBQ at his place.  It includes this tasty snippet: As the evening progressed, the party moved down to the lower house (so that even more of Danny’s neighours could be disturbed).  There, in a basement music room filled with analog synths and vintage guitars, those not to bloated began to have… Read More »Decoy Album Detected

Danny Carey Interview in DRUMscene

I mentioned this interview yesterday, but this morning when I visited the local magazine emporium, I spotted a copy of issue 64 of DRUMscene featuring Danny and decided to grab a copy (it was only $10).  And I gotta say it was $10 very well spent, then interview is one of the best I’ve read, and Danny speaks extensively about where the new album is at, the Live DVD, recording/song… Read More »Danny Carey Interview in DRUMscene

Danny in Drum Scene, More Tool Collectables

According to Milhuisen, Danny will appear in Issue 64 of DRUMscene, apparently Australia’s #1 Drum Magazine.  As well as a “huge” interview, it will feature a poster. I might head over to the newsagent in the morning and see if I can grab a copy. Also, for those that missed it, copies of Salival and Lateralus Signed Vinyl were made available on the Toolarmy shop yesterday.  Took only 20 minutes… Read More »Danny in Drum Scene, More Tool Collectables

March Tool Newsletter, Other Stuff!

I had a busy day yesterday ingesting more beer than my body can safely hand.  Fitting then that Blair releases the March 2011 Newsletter on Toolband that get the collection nuts of Fourtheye abuzz with excitement.  Here’s an excerpt: In the spirit of this newsletter about Tool memorabilia, "Merch" is going to be putting some nice stuff in the store tomorrow (consider this a head’s up). These items will include… Read More »March Tool Newsletter, Other Stuff!
