Fourtheye’s 2011 Musical Highlights

As the end of 2011 approaches, it’s tradition (except for last year when I was too lazy) for all music websites to reflect on the year gone by and present a Best Of list for everyone to argue over (and I encourage robust debate in the comments section).  Not wanting to break with tradition (again), here is a list of stuff I enjoyed in 2011. There have been plenty of… Read More »Fourtheye’s 2011 Musical Highlights

Puscifer streaming coming soon

I saw on Facebook this morning that Puscifer’s new album Conditions of My Parole will be streamed on Spin in full sometime in the new few days.  Keep your ears close to the ground and prepare yourselves for the rumbling.  I’m heading off to Melbourne for a few days, so updates may be a little slow until Monday.  Have a great few days without me!

Fourtheye donation competition closing soon!

Just a gentle reminder to anyone thinking about donating to Fourtheye, that the recent donation drive closes at the end of this month.  As I outlined previously, anyone who donates this month goes in to the draw for a Fourtheye shirt of their choosing.  Each dollar donated gets you an entry! Regardless of if you’re able to help financially, thanks to you all for being part of Fourtheye! Buy!

Fourtheye Sponsorship Drive

Nothing in the world is free.  Each year to run Fourtheye costs around AU$150 (depending on the strength of the Australian dollar compared to the US dollar at the time) and each year these bills arrive in July.  While Fourtheye is in no danger of going anywhere, this time of year is a good time to remind you that should you be considering making a donation to your favourite Tool… Read More »Fourtheye Sponsorship Drive

Well, the time has come for me to hit the road and check out a couple of Tool shows.  As a result I’ll be largely offline the next couple of days, however via the wonders of mobile technology I will probably tweet now and then. The first A Perfect Circle gig in the USA for 2011 has just been announced at the Rock On The Range Festival in Ohio.  As… Read More »On The Road

The reasons so far to he Queensland Flood Appeal has bee pretty awesome, with the total currently at $521.66 collected so far.  In order to get the prize organised, I’m moving the cut off date for entries into the competition to midnight this Wednesday (which is about 5am Tuesday US Pacific time), which just happens to be Australia Day.  At this time I will close the entries, and select the… Read More »Queensland Flood Appeal Update

Some Fourtheye Updates…

I installed a couple of updates to Fourtheye this morning, mainly to do with comment formatting. You should notice now that both the Blog and Forum comment forms now have the ability to add code. In both areas bbCode is now supported (and recommended) however some html is allowed in both areas. For a quick guide on bbCode check here. I’ve also tidied up the way Private Messaging works on… Read More »Some Fourtheye Updates…

Soundwave 2010

I’ve been looking forward to Soundwave 2010 for quite a while now.  Not only were one of my favorite bands Faith No More reuniting, but it also featured several other favorites of mine, including Tool touring buddies Meshuggah and Isis.  Forecast for the day was originally in the high 30s, but thankfully this didn’t turn out to be the case – it was a beautiful Adelaide day in the end!… Read More »Soundwave 2010
