Brisbane Tool Review, Tool Twats, Sydney Posters

Andrew from The Vine emailed me today a nice review he did of the Tool show in Brisbane last night.  I won’t post any details here in order to avoid spoiling things for those trying to remain in the dark, but if you want more detail on the show last night then take a look at the review thread in our forum. In other news Maynard appears to have convinced… Read More »Brisbane Tool Review, Tool Twats, Sydney Posters

A Perfect Circle play Edgefest in Toronto

Just got word from a couple of Fourtheye readers today that A Perfect Circle will be playing the Edgefest in Toronto on the 9th of July.  Other bands on the lineup include Rise Against, The Weakerthans, Tokyo Police Club, Arkells, The Reason and Dinosaur Bones.  I can’t imagine this will be the only show, so I’d imagine the East Coast mat see a few dates this time round.

Tool Practise Clips

Maynard has posted a couple of Tool rehearsal clips similar to the ones he did recently for A Perfect Circle.  It shows the band playing sections of Lateralus and EBA/The Patient.  They are embedded below for your viewing pleasure! Lateralus EBA & The Patient It’s also worth noting that the Notes From The Crew section on Toolarmy has been updated. Update: And here’s clip 3! 46&2

A conversation with Maynard James Keenan

Andrew McMillen from Australian magazine called Junior recently interviewed Maynard.   Maynard speaks a bout a range of issues including Tool, A Perfect Circle, Blood Into Wine and more. For those of us unable to pickup a copy of this magazine (it’s a free street press type thing) Andrew has published the full transcript here.  Here’s an excerpt: I saw the Smashing Pumpkins recently. It felt like Billy [Corgan] was rushing… Read More »A conversation with Maynard James Keenan

A Perfect Circle track recorded? Newsletter + Tool goodies on Ebay

According to a recent tweet by Antiquiet (and also on Billy Howerdel’s Facebook so I hear): Maynard and I just got done tracking some vocal for a new APC song Hopefully this means we’ll see a new A Perfect Circle track sometime in the not too distant future. Hawaii ticket sales seem to… Read More »Tool ticket updates, A Perfect Circle winding up

Billy Howerdel discusses A Perfect Circle reunion

There is a lengthy interview with Billy Howerdel on Ultimate Guitar where he talks about a range of A Perfect Circle related topics, including a few guitar tech type questions, as well as a little insight into Tool: By the time you’ve recorded the Thirteenth Step album, has the writing process with Maynard become more efficient? Do you better understand the types of guitar ideas that he’ll respond to? Kind… Read More »Billy Howerdel discusses A Perfect Circle reunion

Maynard Stuff

A few Maynard related items this afternoon.  Firstly, as I’m sure most of you have read on Toolband a selection of his wines won 9 medals at a recent Arizona Republic Wine Competition.  Head over to the Caduceus site or Toolband for more details. Congratulations to Maynard on his endeavours and I hope to one day sample his fermented grapes. I read somewhere (I can’t for the life of me… Read More »Maynard Stuff

A Perfect Video

Spin has a video from the first A Perfect Circle show a few nights back in Arizona.  Doesn’t have any live audio, however the quality of the footage suggests that rumours of a live DVD of some description are very promising, and hopefully very likely! Enjoy the gigs those of you who were lucky enough to score tickets!

Tool sales wrap-up, APC do Arizona

Ticket sales for the two side shows have now pretty much wrapped up, with Melbourne sold out, and Brisbane being close to it – at time of writing there were some silver tickets only left, all single seats.  Ticketek sales for the Brisbane show went pretty smoothly, and Ticketmaster for Melbourne not so.  My experience this morning with Ticketmaster was that at about 9:00:15 there were only GA tickets left,… Read More »Tool sales wrap-up, APC do Arizona
