Maynard talks about Tool & Puscifer plans

jsmodena emailed me a link to a new interview with Maynard on Spin.  It’s pretty brief, but touches on upcoming recording/writing plans for both Tool and Puscifer: New music from Tool is also in the works. "They are getting together and writing," he says of bandmates drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and bassist Justin Chancellor. "I’ll be popping back into L.A. soon to check in."

Maynard on Blood Into Wine

In a new interview with Artist Direct, Maynard discusses the Blood Into Wine movie, which is now available on DVD.  He talks about wine making, the movie, and a little about Puscifer.  No Tool news for those who are only interested in one thing (apart from sex): It’s an inspiring film because audiences very rarely have the opportunity to see how intense the winemaking process is. It’s been removed from… Read More »Maynard on Blood Into Wine

Puscifer Lyrics

Subtle emailed me this morning telling me that there are lyrics available on the Puscifer site.  I haven’t noticed them before so I suspect they’re new.  Just in case you don’t believe me here’s a sample from my favorite Puscifer song: Wake up son of mine. Momma’s got somthin’ to tell you. Changes come. Life will have it’s way with your pride, son. Take it like a man. So hang… Read More »Puscifer Lyrics

Puscifer Remix, Toolshed Hits 15!

I forgot to mention in the August update that you can listen to a new remix of The Humbling River on the Puscifer site.  It’s the second track after Rocket Man.  Sounds good, but personally I’m ready for some new stuff rather than just remixes… Toolshed also had an update recently.  Not only have then just turned 15 (congratulations!) but Kabir spoke with Danny who confirmed Tool are back songwriting.… Read More »Puscifer Remix, Toolshed Hits 15!

The track listing is: Sour grapes Where’s The Line? Mix Momma Sed Vis4V mix Queen B Vis4V mix The Undertaker Vis4V mix Drunk with Power Vis4V… Read More »Sound Into Blood Into Wine

Puscifer Keep It Moving

Blahmoo spotting a new shirt in the coming soon section of the Puscifer site today, presumably while checking out the Rocket Man cover: So does this mean there is a tour coming soon? I guess we have to wait and see… Update: Word is this may the shirt from a previous tour, just with a misprint.  Who knows!  Personally I’d rather see Tool hit the studio and/or tour Australia than… Read More »Puscifer Keep It Moving

Puscifer cover Rocket Man

As has been promised since 2008, Maynard and Steve Drozd from The Flaming Lips have finally released their version of Elton John’s Rocket Man.  The track, which is technically Puscifer + Steve Drozd, can now be streamed on Puscifer’s website.  I think it actually sounds pretty good. Thanks to ToolDude for spotting this.

Maynard on new A Perfect Circle and the Blood Into Wine DVD

A couple of things came out from Maynard today, firstly he briefly discusses A Perfect Circle: "I doubt if we’ll do any touring or, you know, do a full album," he said. "We might do some one-off shows here and there if the timing’s right and it seems like a good vibe and a smart thing to do. But most likely we’ll just kind of concentrate on, you know, one… Read More »Maynard on new A Perfect Circle and the Blood Into Wine DVD
