Mastodon confirmation, PopWire

An ad in Kerrang confirms that Mastodon will be supporting Tool in Europe. There’s only five dates on it, so they may be just doing the UK leg of the tour. We’ll have to wait and see. Thanks to The Tool Hotline for letting us know. Pop matters has posted an interview with Adam. It seems pretty standard, there’s not much new here. But it’s been a while since an… Read More »Mastodon confirmation, PopWire

Puscifer in 2 weeks? Al Jones

Hotsauceman on Toolarmy pointed out the Maynard‘s Myspace site has changed.  He hints that the Puscifer website should be up and running in 2 weeks, and also suggests that there will be podcasts and mp3 samples. In other news, Blair on Toolband/Army reports that Adam’s brother Al will be playing a couple of gigs.  One is with his band Mission Creep on the 29th of September, while the other as… Read More »Puscifer in 2 weeks? Justin Interview, Melvins Tour

Bastardometer posted on Toolarmy a link to an Audio Interview with Justin.  I couldn’t get the link to work, but it’s probably because I don’t have the right plug in.  Try your luck at this link. Ipecac have released some more extensive Melvins US Tour dates as well.  Looks like they’re playing with Big Business again, so expect some dual drumming action.  Check out the newly refurbished Ipecac website for… Read More »Justin Interview, Melvins Tour

Mastodon to join Tool in Europe?

There’s rumours going around on Toolarmy, and also from this link sent to me by Mattias (unfortunately in Italian – translations would be appreciated) which suggest that Mastodon will be the support act for Tool on their European tour.  Personally I love Mastodon, so it sounds like a damn good idea to me, but there’s no real confirmation of this yet. A couple of posts from Blair today, the first… Read More »Mastodon to join Tool in Europe?

APC Update?

Maynard has risen from his sickbed to post an update on the A Perfect Circle website.  Apparently Billy is working hard on his solo stuff, Maynard is working with Tool, on wine and doing Puscifer, and that 13th Step and eMotive lyrics should be up soon.  Is this post some kind of sign that APC are not dead?  Who knows. Thanks to those stoned dudes at The Tool Hotline for… Read More »APC Update?

Wisconsin Cancelled

According to Toolband/Army the Tool show tonight in Madison, WI has been cancelled again due to illness.  Presumably Maynard is still not 100%.  There’s no indication if there’ll be a make up show in this case either… Isis fans can feel a little better though, since due to the cancellation the guys will be playing at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago tonight (19th September).  Doors open at 9:30pm, and tickets… Read More »Wisconsin Cancelled

Haake Drum Clinic

According to Bastardometer on Toolarmy, Tomas Haake from Meshuggah will be leading a couple drum clinics, one in London and the other in Stockholm. If you want to learn to drum like a mathematical machine, then it’s probably worth checking out… MESHUGGAH’s Tomas Haake will be conducting drum clinics at the following two locations this month: 1) Sunday, Sept. 24 – DrummerLive 2006 – ExCeL Centre, London Docklands Haake will… Read More »Haake Drum Clinic

Tickets, 10,000 Days, Meshuggah

A few snippets today. According to several people there are unstantiated rumours going around in street magazines such as Beat saying there will be more ticket sales and/or shows coming up. Nothing to support this yet, but fingers crossed we should see some more action soon. For all those who are hanging out to hear 10,000 Days played on Tool‘s tour, Justin gives us an update in the Mercury News:… Read More »Tickets, 10,000 Days, Meshuggah

Melvins Interview

For all you Melvins fans, here’s a great interview with Buzz from lambgoat.com.  In case you only want to read the Tool related bit, here you go: What’s your view on Tool? I know you’re pretty close with some of those guys, but I’m just confused. I’m not talking about their music, but really, their morphing image. How did they go from this band who was writing mock-satanic/industrial songs with… Read More »Melvins Interview

Isis Tour, Vinyl Trading

Mattia sent me this link today in which Aaron from Isis speaks to MTV. They talk about their tour plans, and how they hope to tour here in Australia later on this year. This suggests to me that they won’t be playing with Tool in January. Aaron also talks about the new CD In The Absence Of Truth, which you can preview by downloading the new song Dulcinea from Ipecac.… Read More »Isis Tour, Vinyl Trading
