Big Business to release Battlefields Forever

Big Business have called a press release to announce their new album Battlefields Forever which will be released on Halloween for your listening pleasure. Sounds like they won’t be touring for a while though, as singer/bassplayer Jared is expecting a baby shortly, so no tours until Spring. This would also include the Melvins, so I’m not sure what version of them we’ll see here in December but I’m expecting it’ll… Read More »Big Business to release Battlefields Forever

Mudhoney Interview Melvins

Mark Arm from grunge band Mudhoney has interviewed King Buzzo from the Melvins to help celebrate their 30th Anniversary. It’s a great interview and here’s a snippet for you all: Mark: Have you ever dabbled in the ‘Dark Arts,’ the Occult, Witchcraft, Blackface? Are your souls spoken for, or can we have them? Aloke Dutta Competition

After the interview with Aloke the other day, forum regular Mog suggested we run a competition where the prize is a free one hour lesson with Aloke via Skype. The lesson itself is suitable for all musicians… Read More »Aloke Dutta Competition

Aloke Dutta Interview

As promised in a recent post, I collected questions from many Fourtheye readers, and then presented them to Aloke Dutta via the wonders of Facebook. A couple of hours later and I had a response! Everybody Loves The Melvins

In all the hype over the forthcoming Opiate reissue, I’ve been negligent not to offer some cool Melvins news. It seems as though they are poised to release a new covers album called Everybody Loves Sausage. The first track has just been released, and it’s a version of Queen’s You’re My Best Friend with Caleb of Tweak Bird on vocals: There’s also tour dates! Melvins Lite: Apr. 23 Tourcoing, France… Read More »Everybody Loves The Melvins

Last minute Melvins date!

According to a recent Ipecac announcement “The Melvins will play a last minute show at Slim’s in San Francisco, CA on December 29th, 2012.”. San Franciscans take note! Presumably it’s Melvins + Big Business as opposed to Melvins Lite. Or perhaps both, they do crazy shit from time to time!
