The journey into Tool’s tunnelling compositions is fascinating. The… Read More »Tour Announced

Roskilde Announcement Imminent

Tool are heavily rumoured to be touring Europe in mid-2006.  iamurmama on Toolnavy claimed that in today’s (24-Jan-06?) issue of the Danish paper Politiken, there was a note claiming that Tool will be playing at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (June 29 – July 2).  Now, whether or not we decide to trust someone with a user name like I Am Your Mama, is an issue, however according to the Roskilde… Read More »Roskilde Announcement Imminent

Blair posts on Toolband/Army that three members of Tool are about to embark on a promo tour: As it now stands, in a few weeks (mid-February) the members of the band (except for Adam) and their manager will be traveling to parts of Europe, England, Japan and Australia on a bit of a promo tour, meaning that they will be meeting with record company people and doing various interviews with… Read More »Tool Promo Tour

Tool in UK June/July, Scandinavia July

aToolAhead on Toolarmy posts that: I got this info from a very (lets emphasize that…VERY) close source to someone in TOOL…that TOOL will be in UK in June/July and in Scandinavia sometime in late July. I checked with aToolAhead, and presuming he’s not making shit up, the source he mentions IS very close to the band, making the news very reliable.  Simply from a logical point of view, the idea… Read More »Tool in UK June/July, Scandinavia July

Three weeks until the single?

Apparently a DJ in Boise, Idaho has let it slip that they’ll have some new Tool music to play within about 3 weeks. Is he full of shit? Would some random DJ in Idaho of all places be privvy to this info? Probably not, but here’s hoping! Thanks to toolsogno on Toolarmy for that tip.

Tool January 2006 Newsletter

  • Tool

Just to keep us on our toes, Blair has also released the Tool January 2006 Newsletter, which with the help of a Ouija Board, answers some further questions on the new Tool CD. My Ouija skills are a bit rusty, but it looks as though the CD won’t be released anytime before the 4th of April. It also looks like the next release of the next Signed Lateralus Vinyl batch… Read More »Tool January 2006 Newsletter

Letter from Blair?

Millermt posted recently on ToolNavy and alleged email that he recieved from Blair: Hello, As I’ve been saying, the record is still being MIXED. The band is nearly finished with this (one epic song to go), but then there is MASTERING, let alone having the CDs pressed. It’s a spring release, although you will most likely get to hear a single prior to that. I’m not sure what you mean… Read More »Letter from Blair?

November Newsletter

The November newsletter is finally up on Toolband, and it’s a two parter. The first half is found here, while the second half is found on the Butcher website. There’s a link at the bottom of the first half just in case you miss it. http://www.toolband.com/news/letter/2005_11.php http://butcherband.com/newsletter.htm I’ve only skimmed through it, but it doesn’t look like there’s any (non-cryptic) info on the new Tool CD. Sounds interesting though, Mexico… Read More »November Newsletter
