Toolarmy Returns

Toolarmy is back online.  Thankfully my prediction of it being permanently down turned out to be false.  You can all stop spamming my comments boards now 😉 I hope you all enjoyed your visit – come back every now and then! Update: It’s back, but seems a little borked.  I couldn’t post a comment for example. Update 2: Blair has the following to say about the fiasco: Obviously the websites… Read More »Toolarmy Returns

Dear Toolarmy n00bs

Firstly, welcome to all of those that have recently joined due to the Toolarmy outage (no sign of it coming back up any time soon).  A few of you have posted about missing comments and such.  Be aware, there is no conspiracy at hand – all new members have to be moderated before they can post comments.  Once this first one has been approved then you free to post as… Read More »Dear Toolarmy n00bs

Toolarmy Update

Word from a semi-official source tells me that in regards to the Tool/Toolarmy servers: The maintenance is planned, and it will be back “soon” Don’t expect any upgrades (yet) Update: The following message was seen on Toolband moments before the downtime commenced: 27 October, 2009 TOOL ARMY GOING DARK FOR A WHILE Please be advised that any time now the ToolArmy site will be shut down while we deal with… Read More »Toolarmy Update

Toolarmy Down

As I’m sure many of you have noticed, Toolarmy is down (Toolband seems ok though).  I’ve heard nothing about the length of the downtime, and hopefully we’ll see service back in due form.  In the meantime keep checking Fourtheye, or any number of alternatives such as Toolnavy or The Tool Hotline.

September 2009 Tool Newsletter

Blair has released the September 2010 newsletter, and it contains a mix of Tool and non-Tool news.  It largely talks about artists Richard S. Shaver and Stanislav Szukalski, and largely reads as an advertisement for an upcoming exhibition.  Adam and Danny are noted to be admirers and collectors of their work. There is also a paragraph of Tool news, that appears to be obscured, perhaps by some kind of code:… Read More »September 2009 Tool Newsletter

Stuff I Haven’t Posted Yet

I’ve got a few minor snippets of info collecting in my inbox, not quite worth of their own stories, but have finally reached a point where I want to clear it out! Anyway, here goes… The Puscifer blog on Myspace has revealed some information regarding the support acts for the upcoming tour: Depending on the city, Support for the upcoming Fall Run will be… SWEETHEAD, Uncle Scratches Gospel Revival, and… Read More »Stuff I Haven’t Posted Yet

Danny Drum Clinic & Maynard Winemaking Videos

A few videos have come over my desk the last few days, and I’m finally getting around to posting them. The first are a range of videos from the recent Danny Carey, Aloke Dutto, Terry Bozzio drum clinic in Kansas.  There’s a stack of them out there, but here’s the best I found: There’s also a video Maynard talking about his winery and the viability of the industry in Northern… Read More »Danny Drum Clinic & Maynard Winemaking Videos

Danny Carey Drum Clinic Review

Danny Carey, along with Aloke Dutta and Terry Bozzio held a Drum Clinic in Kansas over the weekend, and Fourtheye reader Sniper36 was happy to share his review of the event: So I went to the clinic from Denver, flew in Saturday and out Sunday. All in all it was worth it, but thats just me being optimistic. I did really enjoy it, however there were a few things that… Read More »Danny Carey Drum Clinic Review

Maynard Interview on KSIW

There’s an interview with Maynard up on KSIW (a Seattle Radio station I gather) that you can listen to.  If you can get past annoying interviewers, it turns out to be a good listen. For those without patience, here’s an overview: Tom Morello wrote Cuntry Boner (was performed with Adam in Electric Sheep originally).  He also hinted it may be played on the next Puscifer tour. Mentioned he’d love some… Read More »Maynard Interview on KSIW

Tool Vinyl: a new resource for Tool vinyl collectors

I received and email from Simon this morning who runs the website toolvinyl.com.  Though personally I’m not much of a collector, this site seems to be a great resource for those of you who are in the hunt for sought after Tool vinyl.  Check it out!
