Billboard are reporting that Vicarious will be the first single from 10,000 Days and will be played on US Radio stations on the 17th of April: Rock act Tool has revealed the track list for its next studio album, “10,000 Days.” As previously reported, the set is due May 2 via Volcano. Australian Pre-Order, Ticket Sales

Mattw from Toolnavy has told me that 10,000 Days can be pre-ordered at Sanity.com.au. Prices is $31 which seems a little pricey for an Australian release, but the release date seems to be the 1st of May. Just one quick thing about ticket sales, I normally don’t pay too much attention to when tickets go on sale, especially for non-Australian shows. If any of you have any info regarding ticket… Read More »Australian Pre-Order, Ticket Sales

Danny Interview, Alex Grey

I managed to miss this one yesterday, but Danny Carey has said apparently to Launch: “We truly are an alternative band,” Danny said. “It’s an alternative to what other people label as alternative, that actually all sounds the same or whatever. And I think people can identify that and they can relate to it, and they desire the real thing when it’s available. You just gotta stick to your laurels… Read More »Danny Interview, Alex Grey

Singles, Butcher, Artwork, Tours

A couple of quick snippets from around the web: It’s been mentioned in several places, in particular on Toolnavy that US radio will be playing the new single sometime between the 12th and the 17th of April.  Not long to go now.  Of course if memory serves me correctly, Schism was available from the Tool website a good week or so before Triple J played it for the first time… Read More »Singles, Butcher, Artwork, Tours

Artwork Shenanigans

A couple of people have pointed out that the artwork released yesterday has a remarkable similarity with some of Alex Grey’s work: They look pretty much identical to me, with a bit of cropping & colour alteration of course. This has lead to some speculation that it may be related to the Live DVD rather than 10,000 Days, which seems like a reasonable statement considering Grey’s work with Tool on… Read More »Artwork Shenanigans

10,000 Days Artwork

Blair on Toolband/Army has posted some artwork from 10,000 Days. This one looks like a new logo: Anyone else think it looks like it says Fool rather than Tool? This one may or may not be the cover: Looks ok to me, though I was expecting something a little different. I’m sure though, as usual there will be much more to the artwork than just this image, and I’d very… Read More »10,000 Days Artwork

Promo Pictures, German Listening Parties

Things are going well in Sydney, not much internet where I’m staying unfortunately, but luckily nothing really exciting has come out in the last couple of days. Should resume normal operation on Monday. Pictures, holy shit there’s some funny one’s there. I guess they’re trying to ditch the whole ‘spritual/art rock’ thing. Here’s a list of links I’ve collected from the various comments. Apologies if I’ve missed one and thanks… Read More »Promo Pictures, German Listening Parties

Leak?

Ocelot199 on Toolnavy posted me this mp3 today which is supposedly a leak from 10,000 Days. It’s only short: https://www.fourtheye.net/tool-leak.mp3 Disclaimer: I haven’t had a chance to listen to it since I’m at work, so I can’t vouch for it’s integrity. Word is on Toolnavy that it sounds pretty damn good, regardless of who it is. Edit: In my opinion, it sounds ok, but like the alleged rehearsals that came… Read More »Leak?
