Brian sent me an email last night with a couple of links to some posters made available at the recent Tool show in LA. According to him, poster weren’t selling for $1000, but a mere $500. The $500 ones were snapped up pretty quick, and there were only 5 of them. Signed copies of the other poster was $80 and there were heaps of those. The first one has some… Read More »Tool Posters
According to Indacello, Jello Biafra joined Tool onstage last night in San Francisco for a version of Holiday in Cambodia. Guests joining Tool this tour during lateralus include Sebastian from Trans Am, Dale from The Melvins, Cody from Big Business, Tim Alexander from Primus and Aaron from Isis. Perhaps Tool should tour with The Mark of Cain while in Australia so John Stanier can join them on stage… According to… Read More »Holiday in San Francisco, 10000 DVDs?
Last week I asked a somewhat controversial question regarding Tool‘s set list. There are a lot of strong feels out there regarding Tool‘s recent tour habits, and a good percentage of Tool fans are dissappointed by the lack on change in their set list. Compared to the Lateralus tour, the 10,000 Days tour has been considerably more static, and generally shorter in set length. Personally, I’m not too bothered by… Read More »Poll Results: Does a repetitive setlist alter your view on Tool’s live performances?
It’s quite possibly too late now, but Toolband/Army informs us that TU (Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn from King Crimson) will be opening for Tool in Everett tonight. They’re also playing at the Portland show. They go on before Trans-am, so don’t get there late if you want to see them!
In a recent live photo posted on Toolband/Army, the screens behind the band would appear to be playing part of the Vicarious video. Anyone at these shows care to comment on how much of the new video footage is being played at recent shows?
According to Toolband/Army: Regrettably, MONDAY’S SHOW IN MISSOULA, MONTANA has been POSTPONED due to illness. Maynard has a viral infection in his throat and has been instructed by his doctor to get some rest. Hopefully for Montana fans this is reschuduled sometime soon. Get well soon Maynard.

This week I ask a controversial question in regards to Tool’s set list. Many of you complain that there is too little variety in the current list. Some argue that since the presumption is that the majority of people see only one show per tour, this isn’t a big deal, while others defend it by suggesting the set needs to stay the same due to staging reasons. How do you… Read More »New Poll: Does a repetitive set list alter your view on Tool’s live performances?
