Been away hiking through the Flinders Ranges the last couple of days, so have been a bit slack with the updates. In case any of you have missed it, there have been a couple of new dates confirmed on the upcoming Tool summer tour.  Toronto has been confirmed, and a new show in Cincinnatti has been added: AUGUST 5/09 – Toronto, ON – Molson Amphitheatre / ON-SALE 6/13 AUGUST 7/09… Read More »New Tour Dates

Blair’s Cryptic Post

Blair Someone has posted another cryptic article on Toolband/Army today, this time alluding to preparation for the upcoming tour: I and a few others have to go to California next week to start getting some things ready for this summer run. I’ve had some work here that I could have dragged through the coming week but decided to gracefully duck out of it and grant myself some freetime before departure.… Read More »Blair’s Cryptic Post

Danny Comments on the Tour

According to a recent article on Blabbermouth: TOOL drummer Danny Carey told The Pulse of Radio that unlike some groups, the members of the band still travel together on the road. “We pretty much all travel together,” he said. “We kind of have to, you know, just for the logistics of everything going down. The schedule gets pretty tight, especially at the beginning of the tour, ’cause there are lots… Read More »Danny Comments on the Tour

Fairfax Patriot Center Tickets

Toolband mentioned tickets for the show at the Patriot Center in Fairfax as being on sale on the 30th of May – however it appears they are on sale now!  By the looks of things it is close to selling out but tickets were available a moment ago when I checked.  Don’t procrastinate!

APC on Guitar Hero 5, Atlanta change

A couple of readers emailed me to let me know that A Perfect Circle will be appearing on Guitar Hero 5.  Details of this news and other bands announced can be found at Rolling Stone.  No word on what track will appear, but I’d put my money on it being Judith. A couple of tour changes were announced on Toolband today.  Firstly the Atlanta show which appeared to have a… Read More »APC on Guitar Hero 5, Atlanta change

Toronto Confirmed

I was forwarded an email just a moment ago from Hodge at Toolnavy, while confirms that Tool are playing in Toronto on the 6th of August at the Molson Ampittheatre.  Great news for those Canadians hoping for a show! (unless you don’t live anywhere near Toronto)

Toronto Rumour, Danny’s Drum

Got an email today talking of “rumours flying around” about a Toronto Tool gig at the Molson Ampitheatre on the 7th of August. Seems to fit into their current schedule, but I’ve heard nothing concrete at this stage.  Have added this to the rumours section on the  Tour Page. Also, Blair posted an article on Toolband talking about a Volto! gig on the 5th of June.  Included with the article… Read More »Toronto Rumour, Danny’s Drum

Justin comments on Tool Tour via Rolling Stone

According to ditchrider1 on Toolarmy, the following snippet appeared in the latest Rolling Stone: Tool July 18th-August 8th “The Prog metal crew will take a break from working on a new album for a three-week tour built around slots at Lollapalooza, All Points West and the Mile High Festival. Even though Tool won’t be debuting new music, bassist Justin Chancellor says the group will “rework some old stuff and maybe… Read More »Justin comments on Tool Tour via Rolling Stone

Dallas Sold Out!

As I’m sure most of us anticipated, the Tool gig in Dallas at the Nokia Centre sold out pretty damn fast.  Nice work to those who got tickets, condolences to those that didn’t.  No doubt there will be much discussion about scalpers and the like – something I won’t go into at this stage – and we’re all aware on what negative impact they have on ticket sales to needy… Read More »Dallas Sold Out!
