Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Well, clearly I spaced. DC was definitely starting with the gong before this leg, if maybe with a little less time devoted. The memory is one of the first things to....

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

CC Trip is actually kinda underwhelming, especially after a 12 minute intermission. I'd love it the band just replaced it with a shorter song somehow. I love Danny Carey as a drummer but he's doing his own thing for like 10 minutes and it just feels flat... the show loses momentum :| ya, i agree. D...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

I know they were a long time ago my friend. :D Danny definitely spent a bit more time playing the gong in SD than during the LA shows though. I love the overwhelming sound he gets out of that thing. Man, I wish we could somehow see a live stream of these shows. Truly bummed I can't get to more of t...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

I wish they had pulled it out in Fresno, but I really can’t complain. Something to look forward to on the next CA stop I guess. Fingers crossed for the Vegas attendees. @ Norm - did Danny start CCTrip in SD with the stretch and gong solo? That was definitely a change from LA in October, and I dig it...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Fuck yeah. That was a pleasant surprise. That crappy vid obviously doesn’t do it justice. They nailed it. Looks like I picked the right 2 shows 😀 Gotta say that I’m impressed with the set list tweaks this leg. It bodes well for coming shows. @ Junior - thanks for the details. Nice to see you again l...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

@ Norm - wish you could make it my friend. Just checked on down the street from the arena. @ Busty - Thanks man. It was jaw droppingly good. If you are hitting consecutive gigs, there’s a very high likelihood you’ll get it. Fingers crossed. Hell, they might even *gasp* make another set list swap for...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

@ Norm - nope, I noticed they were missing in SJ as well and wondered why the same as Joey. I was about halfway back, 8th row on the risers, which was a near perfect view, and I didn’t miss the side screens at all. But I assume they would be nice for certain seat views. Interested in hearing Jr’s re...

Wait a second. It’s the same setlist as last leg?
Are you surprised by this outcome?

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Looks like they are alternating Part of Me and Descending. Hopefully SJ gets Descending.

I am stoked for my shows this week, but yeah, a couple more set list tweaks would have been welcomed.

Re: Ticket selling/buying thread

One extra for Fresno on Jan 15th. Very good seat: Sec 123, Row C. I got one on the floor.

Face of course ($157.15), DM me for a ticket transfer from TicketBastard.

Bummer Norm! Thought you were hitting SD?

I have an extra single for Fresno that’s yours if you want it. Let me know.

If they're going to throw in Tempest, I'd prefer they cut Vicarious and the "old song" slot to make room. Don't cut any other FI tracks.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I am cautiously optimistic. It’s also the reason I’m hitting 2 more shows in January. On the other hand, I won’t be too disappointed if it doesn’t happen. Even if it’s essentially the same set from October. They are that good.

Best of the '10's - Decade in Review Thread

Thought it might be nice to have a place to discuss this as the 2010's wind down. Post whatever lists you want, either Bands or Albums, or both. Links are a bonus. The one thing I'd selfishly like to discover: your picks for those elusive 10/10 albums from this period, where every track speaks to yo...
