Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I can't believe how optimistic you guys are. No chance this album is being released Aug 30.

Re: Guess the Album Length - New Fourtheye Contest
Now that the release date contest is complete How is that contest complete? Unless I'm mistaken, all we have from the band is "August 30th" displayed on stage and in their twitter feed. We all assumed it meant the release date for the new album, but it doesn't actually say that. Even if i...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
The image hellboy is asking about looks like a drum kit to me with a mirror image. The bottom looks like the kick drum from a side angle and the symbals on top.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I predict the April newsletter (which will likely get posted in May) doesn't have any new info on the album at all and I also predict that everyone is let down when they play zero new songs on this mini tour. Zero. You guys are all way too optimistic. Album drops October at best.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but doesn't the promoter pay for the venue, band, roadies, promotion and other expenses (like insurance)... then recoup that money (plus profit) from the ticket sales? Does the band pay the roadies directly?

The 'Respectful Remasters' version of Undertow is the tits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ivLyTXo4oI While I have not yet listened to this, I can't imagine how this could be better that what the band released. I may be in the minority here, but I think Undertow was the best engineered album. The ...

Assuming that screenshot is true, that is the best update we've had so far on the new album. Maynard won't be a bottleneck. There is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I know I'm a pessimist on this band and the new album but it's May 11 and it's not like there are updates mentioning any progress whatsoever lately. Do you guys think they are even actively working on this album anymore? I get the feeling they get together like twice a month now at best and jam for ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Why do you even hold out hope? Tool is about to waste a month on tour that could be spent finishing an album. I have no more hope for that album. I'm with you. While I'm sure many are happy to see them tour, I find it pretty annoying. Guess the royalties for 10+ year old material must be drying up ...

HB....thanks for the rant. You gotta throw a lotta shit at the wall until something sticks, and Its safe to say it will be read by somebody in their camp. Bravo sir. Their website - that people have PAID to use - has been broken for like 6-7 years now. If they can't fix a simple website, I wouldn't...

Re: New Album Release Date Competiton
I strongly stand by my statement that it won't be a secret when Tool finally get around to recording. They might "surprise" us with the album when it actually gets released, but I think we'll have some good warning that this might happen. At this stage, with no indication they have even f...

Adam, Justin and Danny are in the studio 1PM-4PMish I think he said Tuesday-Thursday. And there you have it folks, confirmed my suspicions... 9 hours of work per week. Most people work that in 1 day. Considering getting settled in each day, BS-ing, etc, probably equates to 6 hours of actual work ea...

Why hasn’t anyone found Problem 8 – The Riemann Hypothesis yet? Can it still be found? Has anyone been close to figuring it out? Any more clues? This is the wrong question... the question should be "Does Problem 8 really exist? If so, why do we get dicked around about it instead of posting it ...

It would be nice if they could throw us a bone. It doesn't have to be some new material or anything like that - just a thanks for sticking with us would be great. You know what have been great? They should have pro shot some live shows to put out a live... oh wait... Seriously though, one of the mo...

Re: New Album Release Date Competiton
Being an optimist, recording in 2014 is still possible I get the feeling they are still months away from having the music done and Maynard has not even started the lyrics yet (certainly not his fault). It's not as though there is much positive information being posted to their site. Then they will ...

New Clutch Album coming
Can't wait. This will be their 4th new album since 2006. If only another band I love could put out material at that rate.
