Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Not much new, but includes a few words from Junior https://metalinjection.net/news/tools-tour-designers-detail-a-night-in-their-lives The full article was linked somewhere earlier, so be sure to click that link within this one. Really good stuff in there. The metal injection “article” is just some ...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

I was very happy to go to my little excel file and finally cross off Swamp Song. That was my 15th show (Nashville) since 2012. Which means I have seen Schism, Jambi, Stinkfist, 46&2 and Aenema fifteen times live now. Hopefully someday I can cross off Tempest, Eulogy, Jimmy, Prison Sex and H. I'm gu...

I doubt The fucking Grammys are going to slot in 15 minutes for a prog rock performance in this day and age.

But fuck yeah they actually should, melt the faces of those industry fucks.
That audience wouldn't understand that music.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

I agree that D/R/T was probably a "you had to be there" type moment, kinda like Wings was on the 10k Days tour. That said, would be quite happy to see it back in the setlist. I will never forget walking on the nearly empty beach beautiful sunny day after that show totally moved for the first time b...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)

Damn, it is nice to see the grudge continue. And to think I thought it would be all roses and candy in here after the new album came out. It's the nature of a grudge. They are hard to let go of. And lets face it Tool aren't really behaving like a band with a brand new album on this tour. You could ...

Every New Tool Song, Including Interludes, Enters Top 25 on Billboard Chart September 13, 2019 Tool’s dominance “Litanie Contre La Peur” is currently at No. 10 and “Legion Inoculant” sits at No. 11 on the Hot Rock Songs chart[/b], beating “The Hype” by twenty one pilots and even Ed Sheeran’s “Blow....

Re: New Album Touring

Tool has been pretty good in the past about playing at least one song from every full length record during their set. I see a lot of speculative setlists that don't take that into account. I believe at least one of these songs from each of their earlier albums each will be played - Intolerance/Sobe...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)

Nah it was Maynard’s constant badgering. They should have spent at least 4 more years. At least Maynard nailed it on Pneuma i like Pneuma quite a bit but its basically Parabola part II without as many words but the same meaning and it sounds like the patient a little bit in some parts. Isn't that t...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)

When 10,000 Days came out you had people making the same argument that there was just nothing as compelling as what they had done before, now there is people saying that there is nothing on Fear Inoculum that is as compelling as 10,000 Days. The cycle continues. Why do people have to compare all th...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)

I don’t agree that this record sounds like Tool. Stylistically, the songs are missing vocals, direction, momentum, punch, climax, and release. That’s not Tool. I’ve gone back to it several times, but while it sounds good with plenty of supposed “complexities,” it’s not resonating. No songs here hol...

Re: New Album Touring

I don't see how that is "not fair" at all. If you want to VIP, join TA. You pay for unique access to purchase unique things as a member of the club. It helps make offering those things possible. I knew going into TA what it was, but I joined anyways because I specifically wanted to be able to purch...

Re: New Album Touring

You're quoting the press release from a few hours before the VIP presale. The 8.30.19 tour announcement was different: I completely agree, that first pre-sale announcement could/should have been more specific to indicate that it was only for VIP tickets. You were saying that TA membership getting e...

Re: New Album Touring

What's not fair is VIP is TA only. :? Some fans just dont want to be in a club. Then don't join and take advantage of what that club has to offer. It would be harsh to just cancel non TA VIPs. From Toolband: "VERY LIMITED TOOL VIP PRE-SALES that will go on sale EXCLUSIVELY TO TOOLARMY MEMBERS" If y...

Re: New Album Touring

The thing is, with ticket sales as fucked as they are, This shit for $500 dollars is a good value. A decent seat is going to cost $250-300 on the scalpers market and ticketmaster is going to get almost as jacked as toolband. For just a little more, you get good extras and a good seat, without payin...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

There also may very well just be way, way less segues on this one. This is very likely. We haven't really seen a segue heavy record since Aenima, to begin with. I don't even consider Mantra or Lost Keys "segues", as they are short intros to songs. CCTrip will probably be the same as an intro or ext...

Sorry, forgot to leave the /s off my late May comment. I'll probably buy the digital version the day of the release anyway because I know I can find it online. Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

strictly speaking, the album is not delayed. they announced it to come out on august 30th. it would be a delay if it didnt come out that day. Depends on how much stock you give to Danny and Maynard's comments regarding the release window. It's hard to argue there was more than one official release ...
