Re: Tool Oz + NZ Feb 2020 Tour discussion

ok, my turn.... Coming from NZ for the Melbourne shows I was just as excited to be visiting a new city for the first time as I was to see Tool again, and travelling with my wife for our first extended break since we had kids 12yrs ago was a treat! short n sweet...Great to finally meet the FE crew. a...

Re: Fourtheye Melbourne Meetup 22nd Feb

Thanks. Suspected as much. Went to the brisbane side show in 2011 and everyone was sitting. It threw me a bit. Guess we're not as cultured in NZ lol

Re: Fourtheye Melbourne Meetup 22nd Feb

I do have a question, this senior has a bad back and has chosen a seat for the shows. whats the general rule in Aussie stadiums? Can you stand if you choose to? or is everyone cordial and sitting?

another possibly stupid question? i'm anticipating there could be other tool fans also prepping, will there be something to identify the group? ya, know maybe a secret password? sign or name tags with our usernames..."hello my name is...." that'd be funny

Re: Anyone except Maynard ever sang on a Tool album/song?

i never bothered reading this thread, i just thought it was someone taking the piss! especially given OPs name, but that was hilarious!

FYI i'm way back from '97 - Wellington town hall. Mad fan by then, but too drunk to fully appreciate what i witnessed that night.

Re: Fourtheye Melbourne Meetup 22nd Feb

haha! cheers fellas, i opted out of night 2 in 2001 Lateralus tour, Brixton Academy in London for a job interview (for a pub job lol) one of my biggest regrets. couldn't do it again. Hopefully see you then. I got sick of the crap here a few years ago, with a few members (who have all moved on) and i...

i'm flying solo Sunday, but seated. Not confident i'll be able to make the Saturday hook up (i have a large group i'm going with) so if the night 2 hook up plans are decided upon, i'd appreciate a public service announcement here!! cheers

Re: Caduceus and Merkin Wines at Sip Wine

How was the evening? Do you know of anyone importing his wines into NZ? I'm interested to know how his chat goes at the Pinot Noir event in Wellington...doing my best not to be a fan boy and go say hello as its right by my work. I doubt very few tool/APC/puscifer fans would even know he's in town. ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

MJK does seem a little bit more willing to challenge himself these days, but yes there are a range of songs, and I'm thinking Aenima and Undertow in particular that I don't think he could pull off. I think Lateralus could be done though. Yea I reckon lateralus would be very possible. But as you sai...

Yea for several reasons too. All MJK. Ya know.. healing process and anger issues sorted! . Not to mention vocal ability. I don't think the other 3 would have any problem playing their album's in full?

Sorry not sure how to copy the video in...But, let me introduce BEASTWARS!!!

They hail from Lower Hutt, Wellington New Zealand. NZ sludge metal at its finest! this is the first song from their upcoming third (and possible their last) album.

enjoy!

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: Lawn Mowers!)

There's a whole bunch of things that don't seem right in regards to this latest album. Something is or has been wrong within the band, either it's extreme laziness, some kind personal problems, writers block or all of the above. couldnt agree more with you here hellboy!. I have suspected this for a...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Hey guys,

Question: this is only speculation that there is some announcment right? possibly July 3rd... and this is based on the BMB hand drawn Tool gig Fan BBQ gig poster that was dated July 3rd, a few months back?

there is no "new" indication news is coming????....
