Re: Tool Spring 2017 Tour (includes spoilers!)
.... and another tidbit... Adam had to move out of his house because of the Cali rains this year. He had a leak around the fireplace and mold started to grow. Insurance company was called in to remove the toxic crap. The situation will most likely cause at least another year delay on the release of...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I'm getting the 404 also. Reddit is saying there a new Tool logo on the updated site.nxrm wrote:Apparently there's been an update to Toolband.com. All I'm getting at the moment is 'Error 404' though.
So that's it, Lateralus 2 will be out by the time they hit the stage in Fairfax.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
On the fourth eye news page, Blair is defensive pointing to the "last sentence" of his fall update But wasn't the below from Blair in April '16- Metal Injection " It's funny looking back at our coverage of the long-anticipated new Tool album and seeing headlines like Maynard Says No New TOOL Album I...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
He laughed and said, "They can believe whatever they want, but it's not gonna happen." Tool fans are silly. There will still be some who will say he's just covering up the "real" story. Congrats hellboy and nxrm, you have both made the official alt rock news....alternative nation! When's the meet n...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
All this talk about dropping a secret album release is absolutely ridiculous. They are nowhere near finished they haven't even hit the damn studio and Maynard is busy with APC. Tool are currently wasting more time as we speak as they are likely practicing for the next leg in their never ending grea...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
This tour Tool's US dates are at festivals or college/minor league arenas. If I recall correctly, none of the US shows are at NHL arenas, yet all of the Canadian shows are. Anyone know if there is an issue with the US major league arenas? Probably cheaper to book some of the smaller, older arenas a...

Predictable sigh  ATTENTION TOOL FANS: There is still a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of VIP PACKAGES left for the following SOLD OUT SHOWS. These VIP packs COME WITH A CONCERT TICKET for a SEAT somewhere in the FIRST FEW ROWS on the CENTER FLOOR. Now that the below shows are sold out, why would you wa...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Agree with hellboy, the reason doesn't matter. The fact remains... Tool is a great band, I enjoy seeing them live from time to time. No point reading anymore into it. I agree the reason for the void is only idle chit chat. It doesn't change anything. What enticed my comment was apparent west coaste...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
No I don't buy that. They said in a recent interview that they actually have two albums worth of material. Maynard flat out called Adam a control freak during a Q&A about a year ago. As for sonic uniqueness Danny can literally do anything on the drums and Justin's playing is just as important and i...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Keenan acknowledges the band doesn't necessarily need to release new material to fill an arena – they took their dark, psychedelic show on the road as recently as earlier this year. " But as an artist you don't want to become a greatest hits version of yourself, either ," he says. "You want to push...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Bottom line it is a month wasted that could be spent finishing an album (or making continued progress) that multiple band members have said will be coming "pretty soon" and is "in the oven" for a ridiculously long amount of time. A professional band would finish their work and then tour behind thei...
