Re: Random Puscifer Social Media thread
Considering i paid off memory about $70 last time, but saying that , he was here for perfect circle and Soundwave without the full production so would have been cheaper. Im fine with the ticket price but only if they bring the full production.

Re: Random Puscifer Social Media thread
Was pretty damn surprised at how expensive tickets were but have been looking for an excuse to take the missus down to sydney to see the family so we got tix this morning. Is at a brand new theatre opening too so shpuld be good.

Re: What are you listening to?
Yeh its definitely more in the Vool territory, hence me digging it. I was like yourself for years with his lyrics and then one day , just sort of clicked for me and I fell in love with Karnivool. Given how long its been now though, can't see you changing your opinion any time soon.

Re: Random Puscifer Social Media thread
Pretty chuffed to see them coming back. Enjoyed the shit out of their Sydney show when they came here last visit and pretty much got me into the band proper.

Re: What are you watching? Film/TV
Stranger things... y'all seen it? Get on it if ya haven't. I enjoyed it, for the most part, and will definitely keep an eye out for the second series when it's released. Hopefully they fix some of the story-telling issues they had with the first series, although the fact that it's so popular makes ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Yeh apart from Maynard no longer bonkers on stage like he used too I can't see much difference from their younger days on stage personas. Its more the lack of variety in setlists that bums me these days. Sure they put 2-3 new ones each tour alongside the staples but they used to mix up those 2-3 bet...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
No doubt they'd have a lot of unfinished riffs lying around but given it's been 10 years and counting, I wouldn't be too hopeful on too many unused near completed songs lying around. I also wouldn't be concentrating too much on a next album after this one either. Lets just get this one out in the un...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
After all this time you'd hope they would be bringing their A game for any kind of release. If its just a film clip and an inferior re recording of a classic song I'll be hugely disappointed. Salival 2 would be nice but how many Christmases have we been saying that for now on here?

Re: Random Music News
I have low expectations from this band & didnt expect much from them so was surprised I enjoyed it. I wouldn't think thats such a bad reason for liking a song

Re: Random Music News
Pretty sure his band has proven that far far worse songs could have been written than this one.. after a few listens now I'm really digging it. Lyrics aren't groundbreaking & Lars drumming isn't either but neither of those have been on point for a long time now anyway so is expected.

Re: Random Music News
These guys are only in their 50s. Is that really what impresses you? I enjoyed Death Magnetic and I'm excited about this new one actually being a double album wit  h only 12 songs. I will agree that Lars is not an impressive musician. Yeh it kinda does. Not so much because they're in their...

Re: Random Music News
This is hardly a new Metallica problem though just as the bass is to low (at least in my opinion). Had a few listens now, given their track record and age I'm actually kinda impressed.UndKeineZwEier wrote:I just think they sound bad and sit too high in the mix. It's really annoying.

Re: Random Music News
Sounds very reminiscent of the last track off Death Magnetic which is pretty much exactly what I expected for this new album. One of the worlds great ironies that they went soft when the world wanted em heavy and now they try to go heavy when they could probably write a solid bluesy type album if th...

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
Apparently he's finally got his shit together and they're even taking the stage early these days and slaying it for a bunch of old cobbers... I am keenly watching how long he can keep it up for. He's spent an entire career being a fuckwit so surely somethings gotta give.

Diamond ticket seems reasonable. One dollar for every minute Axl will be late to take the stage

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
Heard good things from a mate that saw Gunners overseas few months back. If I lived in a capital city I'd go for sure, but no chance of justifying the cost of flights etc to get down for it

Re: Random Music News
Say what you will of their career post 80's, but there's no doubting the influence and power Metallica had in the early stages of their career. Am looking forward to this.

Was saying to the missus 3 days ago I dont know why but I got a feeling Tool is just gonna drop a bombshell soon with a release date. No doubt I'm delusional & this is just some bullshit, but be a good told ya so if by miracle they did announce something

I dig the shit out of em and due to very long winded stories i wont bother getting into im still yet to see em so eagerly awaiting a visit from them.
