As in, "shit D'Amour wrote"? Yeah, no one is denying his awesomeness.

Re: APHEX TWIN - "SYRO"

I going to ostracize myself here, I never got Richard D. James. I remember purchasing Selected Ambient Works as a teenager, playing it in my mates car, got about ten minutes in, ejected it and threw it out the passenger side window. He made some great film clips though. I always preferred Squarepus...

Topor-Stanley has finally been called up to the Socceroos. He's no Ognenovski (sp), but given the chance he's more than capable of being as such.

I've just seen him fall apart more than a few times for me to give him my full support. Ex-Jet, though, so he gets all my love, if nothing else.

APHEX TWIN - "SYRO"

Whichever way you paint it, this was always going to be a big deal. Any APHEX TWIN has never required more than one, instant, listen for me to just go "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" - in much the same way a non-opiate user would experience an opiate hit. But "SYRO" . . . I don't know....

Re: Australian politics thread

I don't plan on replying to anyone who bothers to reply to what I've just said. I will finally say, though, that most of the best people I've come to know and love are Australian. And, funnily, they're the most un-Australian in thought, behaviour, and theory that I have ever come across. That says a...

I am honestly embarrassed and afraid of the world my children are inheriting. And I feel it is no longer a kindness for people like me to try to do the best we can for kids like yours and the future, but a duty and responsibility. It always kind of was, if I'm honest - but shit was (for the most pa...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Do you have any regrets about leaving Tool? I wish it had been a better vehicle for me to create in, but it just wasn't. Their creative process is excruciating and tedious, and I guess I never felt the desire to play a riff 500 times before I can confirm that it's good; that's why it takes them eig...

I can't get into Tool these past couple of months :( It's a weird feeling. Need that new album! Want everyone to connect, similar to what Boss said a while back. My urge to post in this community is dying by the day. It's not because you people suck; it's more to do with the fact that we've pretty ...

The font they're using is very confusing imo The site is better than it was before, but it's still not a great example of good web design. Fourtheye isn't either for that matter, but at least I've kept away from picking weird fonts and such. Simplicity is love. I speak from a kind of experience. Ke...

Nah, UKE was right: First person purely for looking around, not moving.

"SAN ANDREAS" is the money shot. I have it on my phone, and don't give it the attention it deserves. It's so full of nostalgia.

The weather here has been too appalling to do anything for the past five months. The best I can manage is to walk as quickly as I can every morning and evening to and from the train station so I don't get caught in the rain. Adds up to about 20 minutes of exercise a day. Consider I eat like an absol...

Unreal groove. Great lyrics if you find out what "Sunray Venus" means to her.

The moment where I wasn't weeping when I saw her recently. And she fucking slayed this solo. Quite the under-rated guitarist, just quietly.
