Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Incidentally, I was vaguing-out on the bus this morning listening to Pneuma & my mind inadvertently started picturing Eric Bana with a mullet.

Damn you Busty... I had to change tracks.

Did they though?? Setlist.fm is now saying Part of Me... & otherwise the same as the previous night. I thought they might swap out CCtrip & Invincible with 7empest... Guess not though.

Re: Fear Inoculum Australia

Thanks. I rang multiple JBs and Sanity outlets & got the same story. Basically, if you didn't get onto the pre-sales quickly, you're screwed. However... MplusL is still selling on Amazon AU for $98 surprisingly. The seller is reasonably well rated. Just wondering if anyone pulled the trigger on ...

For those of you who got it from Amazon Australia, who was the seller for you guys?
Was it MplusL... Or are/were there others?

Re: Tool Covers

I was a big TBE fan (back in the day) Clints early shows were terrific. He gave till he bled almost. Definitely. A great frontman, especially when the band was in it's prime. Pity about all the bad blood between Clint, Ben and Kurt. I went to the 'reunion' show last year & while it was great to...

Re: Tool Covers

I used to cut the butterfly effect guitarists grass when I lived in Oz lol Tristan I think his name was, nice bloke! That's cool. Although TBE are Clint, Kurt, Glen and Ben... Unless Tristan is the silent 5th member. TBE were always underrated in my view & suffered due to internal issues. Looki...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I've said it several times - this is not a double album. I know some of you are holding out for this to be the case, but my understanding is it's definitely not. You know this categorically, in the sense that you'd bet your house on it? i.e. Are you privy to unofficial yet 'official' information th...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I wish I could be as optimistic about the potential for future releases, as others here... But i think mattw's summary is pretty realistic. Times have changed in ways that don't promote confidence in releases beyond this one. They are older, have families, interests that compete for how time and ene...

Christopher was my local member and close relative to one of my best mates. I have to say that he's a pretty genuine guy and certainly he was a great performer for the libs in parliament. I'm sad he's not my local member anymore. I'm sure he is. In so far as any politician can be. Bring back Nick f...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

They don't get much love around these parts but I dig the living shit out of that album when ya consider some of the crap they've dealt out the 20 odd years prior. Scrap about 4 songs off the 2nd disc and you've got yourself a pretty bloody solid Metallica album. Very much looking forward to hearin...

Something like Mantra, Useful idiot etc I can do without but I consider Lost Keys & Intension segues and dig the shit out of both of them so all depends what they end up being I guess. I can see it being a double album in a similar vein to Metallicas Hardwired album. Say 90 minutes of music alt...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I think it was mentioned in one of the VIPs that it will be on the album. I think one of the band members said that Danny Carey's drum solo on the new album will have a Terence McKenna sample, which I believe CCTrip has a TMK sample. This is a little troubling. This, along with other segue type mat...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I think the rumour of a single in May is a no brainer (I'd half expect it to be sooner). Not so convinced of a mid May release - I reckon late May or early June is more likely There's fair chance that new material will be performed during the May tour... I tend to think it'd make sense for a single...
