been a ye fan since college dropout. did not like 808s. excited for this album, i really really like the two new tracks he debuted. will be eager to hear the rest. i hadnt heard about adding new tracks, but kanye doesnt seem like the type to water down an album.

<t>i wouldnt say that qotsa is some underground band, but i would also say its a stretch that they have as much as exposure or popularity as foo fighters. qotsa is not likely to play a major sports arena in your city like foo fighters are. more like the filmore/tabernacle kind of band. new album roc...

<t>just for the record APC was well in advance of lateralus. mer de noms was recorded (1999) and released (may 2000) before lateralus (recorded oct 2000-jan 2001, released may 15 2001). i would be more inclined to give maynard a pass if his side projects were as quality as mer de noms, but that was ...

<t>^like i said above i was in charlotte in 09 and had a great time. maynards vocals were noticably more audible, even on the crappy, crackling recording source i have. what makes those two stand out as "two of the worst"? listen to any copy of the mile high music fest from denver or read any review...

<t>umm gotta disagree about everything after sucking. i saw them the very next night in greenville. same set but flood for pushit. (i would have preferred pushit since at that time id never seen them play it) collectiveunconscious.org has the greenville show as one of the best from 07.<br/> <br/>  <...

<t>i was really feeling the segue of rosetta stoned into jambi. but, kind of the like the lateralus one, i dont really like the splitting up of the wings songs (i think on the lateralus D/R/T is split right? i love those songs together) maybe the person who put this together didnt quite understand t...

^ haha different strokes i guess. i love the "new" version of sober, particularly the dirty bass. to me, it makes sense that justin put his own spin on the song, since he didnt write it and has to play it at prob 80% of their shows.

cool video too.

as this little run continues it seems like the people going to the shows are enjoying them and the people posting online about them from the other side of the world are the ones that have negative thoughts to share.

<t>^ i just got this yesterday. its pretty easy to locate on the major sites and is def worth having if you like tool boots. stinkfist and stranglehold with buzz are really solid and the extended/salival version of pushit is at least as good if not better than the one that showed up on the album.<br...

<t>apples to oranges trying to compare bands live. radiohead show is totally different from a tool show. a tool show might like sparse on paper but if you are there its a completely different and awesome thing. ive never felt like tool played a short set or didnt give me what i had come for. now, if...

it looks to me that is what the x stands for. the setlist even details where and when the extension comes in (other than stinkfist which probably just means they put in that extended part where most of the crowd will start singing "ill keep digging")

V. - Thomas Pynchon

Also started the Great Gatsby (never read it)

I would highly recommend reading The Devil in The White City by Erik Larson.
