Re: Star Wars Hype Train

WARNING SPOILER ALERT THOUGHT I WAS PUTTING IN SPOILER TAGS Am surprised to see Rogue one so far down your list. For all it's flaws, all star wars fans i know, myself included rate it very highly. I really think a 2nd watch will make my mind clearer on my thoughts but yeah it was pretty damn lacklus...

Re: Star Wars Hype Train

Yeah it was great in some parts but then others was just left a little wanting. I still enjoyed it just not as much as the last 2 and dont see it holding up to repeated views once the element of surprise is gone. Hope you all enjoy though

Re: Star Wars Hype Train

Hmmm, alot of hype, fell a bit flat for me. Wasn't terrible and had a few surprises and action scenes but lacked a fair bit of cohesion and just I dunno. Have really enjoyed ep vii & rogue 1 but this one.... be interesting to hear other peoples thoughts.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Please God let this be the light at the end of the tunnel! I think it's coming, and we're getting close enough to a body of evidence to suggest songwriting, albeit sans Maynard is done. It's now just a matter of squeezing the remainder of the work into Maynard's schedule. I'm still not overly optim...

Re: QOTSA

Fair call in that you weren't laying blame solely on the media but what you are doing is essentially trivialising what's happened by deflecting attention and bringing up as arguments: 1: I'm sick of media sensationalist reports.... as Hellboy said and I agree, I'm yet to see this occur in this insta...

Im all for hating on media for being unethical but just because Josh said in a lame arse twitter quote he was just trying to kick a camera and had no knowledge of hurting anyone doesnt mean this is true anyway. That entire argument is fucking stupid. She held the camera to her face and he kicked it right into her. That's assault mate.

Re: Petition: Let us interview Adam Jones (by Hellboy)

I didnt think any of this was actually serious, I mean none of the above questions would be answered not least coming from an internet forum. Got to say chevy chases question above is an intriguing one regarding song like 10K days not being played and the impact on the band

Re: Petition: Let us interview Adam Jones (by Hellboy)

Not a doubt in my mind that you wouldn't get detailed and lengthy replies to each and everyone of those questions. If there is one thing I wouldn't mind knowing although I never imagine it would be answered honestly is during the lateralus tour all 4 of you would embrace at the end of a gig. Post 10...

Re: What are you watching? Film/TV

How can it be a breath of fresh air when the last few Marvel MCU movies (except for Civil War) have had extra gobs of humor injected into them? Considering you have an avatar of wolverine I'm guessing our interest in comic books and their film adapations are slightly differed. I'm just a casual obs...

Re: What are you watching? Film/TV

I'm not into any of the mythology of Thor or much Marvel / DC stuff to much so the humour is what made the movie so enjoyable for me. I love what Nolan did with Batman but the ongoing attempts to replicate it's dark grit (DC is especially guilty of this) bore me. Thor was a breath of fresh air for me.

Re: What are you watching? Film/TV

Wife & I saw Thor : Ragarnork. Haven't seen any other movies and aren't particularly fussed on the marvel world but gave it a go due to a lack of alternative options. Ended up being great fun to watch. Having the kiwi fella responsible for boy creating it was a stellar choice. Plenty of laughs t...

Re: A Perfect Circle Tour 2017

Yeah quite thankfully that line up has saved me having to fork out an expensive trip to Melbourne.

For a first up line up its actually not to bad for cost vs return and there are some bands on there i wouldn't mind seeing but none to force my hand of flights accomdatiom etc

Yeah fair call 2019 seems a better bet given apc album coming up but they are getting to that point where they'd normally return soon. Has generally stretched between 2-5 years between visits.

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.

Given that cog are playing Byron the night prior i wish i had the funds to get down for this but gotta behave and give it a miss. Especially with a potential APC & Metallica visits in 2018. Wouldnt be surprised to see tool return in next 12 months or so either. Then theres download festival too.

I'm insanely surprised you never caught em back in the day. They didnt get over to Adelaide much or you just weren't really into them? I only saw them once back on their first ever live shows when they were supporting Cog and fell in love with them instantly but never did get to see them again so wa...

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.

Just got back from Melbourne for Mammal show. They've lost nothing as a live act and talked up more shows and new tunes. Hopefully they can keep the peace coz for first show in 7 years it was like they never stopped. Absolutely killer set
