Love Atoms For Peace's new album. It's fun/groovy, yet still shows why Radiohead is so great and what happens without the other guys' input.

Hoping the next Radiohead is a full-blown return to form for them after that last one.

Blasphemer! The Pot is one of the best straightforward "rock" songs Tool has ever done, in my opinion. I'd love to know the details of how that song "almost broke up the band," according to Danny.

I often forget that I got to see them play part of a new song on the last tour. And oh did it vibrate good live.

<t>Well to be fair, plenty of bands do it. Trent Reznor/NIN/HTDA makes really good sounding music out of theirs. But I think there's a tangible and clear reason why Tool takes the approach they do, and it shows. It's extremely subtle and for most bands, they don't to go that extra mile (or can't aff...

<t>Also, I'd have to research it (bit lazy at the moment) but I'm pretty sure that "no more 2-inch tape" thing isn't the reality anymore and one of the companies relented and started making it again.<br/> <br/>  <br/> <br/> As far as the whole "home studio" thing goes, drums are the biggest culprit ...

Very true. Although if the photos I've seen are any indication, Maynard has a 2-inch tape recorder at his studio in AZ. Still, I highly highly doubt they'd be recording there.

Anything is possible. But history suggests that they really like to seek out the absolute best rooms/consoles/studios to record their stuff and as good as the stuff at The Loft or Maynard's wine cellar might be... I'd imagine that isn't what they're looking for.

Maynard is an integral part of Tool to me and it wouldn't be "Tool" without him.

That said, I'd donate a kidney to hear a full album side-project with Danny, Adam, Justin and Beth Gibbons from Portishead.

You know it's hard for me to pin down. Just a gut feeling really. Honestly I think Aenemia has the worst "flow" of all of them. Not that it's bad or anything.

10,000 Days isn't bad at that by any means though. I just think they could do better.

Oh it's definitely going to be one of my favorite albums of the year. I don't feel bad listening, I just prefer to save it all for one big listen rather than hear all of it in pieces and then buy it, knowing what's coming.

<t>The thing I'd really kill to see them do before it's all over is a "Dark Side of the Moon" type album that's just meant to be played front to back, always, and doesn't work quite as well out of sequence. I know Danny at least has verbally expressed a desire to do this. The problem is, I don't kno...

Really wish my '07 show had one of those awesome posters. The Crowley, Freud and others were very cool. I saw the in New Orleans and it was the Monkey/Beast one. Didn't appeal to me enough to buy. Harumph.

<t>Also, personal preferences and all that... but there are no "bathroom songs" in a Tool set to me. If I were ever forced to pick one though, I'd usually say the first one because there's inevitably awful sound issues in the first song and it doesn't usually settle in until midway through the secon...

Oh good god, the set list changed significantly (for Tool's standards) since 2006. If the 2010/2012 tours didn't quell anyone's propensity for bitching, nothing short of a personal "all requests" set in your living room will.
