Am I the only one who finds the extended Opiate version fairly boring and unnecessary? I dont hate it, but it just doesnt really add anything to the song for me. Be interesting to see a clip for it when it does see the light of day, just always wondered why chose that over say Die Dier Von Satan.

If they feel the need to release it in near immediate future I'm all for it. I more meant if they release just that and then dont have a promo ready to go for a new song fairly soon then kinda poor form. It's not like they havent had time to sort this shit out.

But yeah I fucked up. Guess it shows how much I listen to the song these days. Gorgeous passage of music but at 6 minutes in length would prefer an extra "song" rather that an extended segue / intro / instrumental.

I hope there are no instrumentals myself. Triad is great and all but my least favourite track on lateralus. Same goes for wings 1. Descending sounds good live but could use some lyrics to fill it out. To me the 4 of these musicians collaborating together is what I dig about this band so see no point...
