Tee hee hee!!

I actually thought that was funny..........not to mention kinda true.

Not sure it's "disgusting" though.

^ Fuck Tool. Laziest band on the planet. Not even close to completing a new album. Just more trips to Hawaii and a quick cash grab in Mexico. Hey Adam, why does Tool take so long to write albums? Adam: "Because we can" Pathetic. It took My Bloody Valentine 22 years to complete the follow ...

Finishing up now. This did absolutely squat for me. Can't really be arsed "reviewing" it at all. Dull and lifeless.....just not my thing. I'll stick with Death In June.

3/10

Re: Classic Album Of The Week - Failure - Fantastic Planet

I can think of MAYBE two or three albums TOPS in my entire collection (approx. 750 cds, 250 lps)that I would give a bold 10/10 to.

Anyway, for the record, I have never even heard of this band. Listening now. About 25 mins in to it. Not really doing much for me TBH.....

So far....maybe a 4/10.

Re: Classic Album of the Week - King Crimson - Beat

TL/DR: Invest 35 minutes and LISTEN. You lazy bastards. Listening now. Not a big fan of early King Crimson - to be honest I prefer the Discipline era Crimson - so this one sits well with me. So far I'm liking but not sure it's really something that's going to make me want to go out and spread the w...

Re: Album of the Week - LARD: Pure Chewing Satisfaction

One of my favourite Ministry side projects (certainly trumps the highly over-rated, disco metal Revolting Cocks) and probably my favourite release in Lard's short but impressive career resume. It's been years and years since I last listened to this so I had to do so again to "remember" so ...

Re: AOTW: Death In June - The World That Summer

Perhaps they'd be better in a live setting, but on record I can't see why I'd listen to this a second time. They're NOT better in a live setting, I can tell you. For me personally they are a studio band. To be honest, I find the album somewhat hypnotic and otherworldly but do admit freely that it i...

There's only really a small handful of people here that actually bother with the album of the week. Especially when it's an album or a genre that's (audible gasp) "NEW" to them!!!

Oh those Tool fans. Their minds are so open and so hungry for new experiences.

To be honest I don't think too highly of the Abbott government. To me they're just A government. Probably won't go down in history as anything else. Just glad we got rid of the last mob. Abbott may have all the personality of a fish (not that it matters) but at least he isn't Kevin To The Rescue. An...

Re: AOTW: Death In June - The World That Summer

Based on originality alone, it's cool. Not something I'd listen too regularly, but is a bit eclectic which is a draw for me and it's quite likely to end up in my collection now. It has a bit of a swans meets the butthole surfers meets pigface meets jello biafra (or something like that) appeal in pa...

The Libs seem to be reneging on promises that will easily outdo Labour at this rate though. Unless the Libs decide to nuke France, there is little they could possibly do to match the previous Labor government in terms of out right WTF styled, bad bad bad policy. Maybe the plan is that when you take...

Flaming Lips was good but differed somewhat from their usual psyche pop mini symphonies. It was something of a downer and lacking somewhat in terms of melody. But taken as a whole it's still a very good album.

I'm guessing this album will be about as popular here as an ugly child was in a Catholic Home For Boys circa 1972.
