Re: Movie/TV News
I now own “Dune” and will start reading soon as I feel this weird obsession forming. One more “thing” I just noticed watching the film again is the Font used for the opening credits has this gold line to create it and it seams to be that Gold line used on the new TOOL logo. Or is that the spice talk...

Re: Movie/TV News
So I had mentioned on one of the TOOL forums reading about DUNE and Litanie contre la Peur being an influence on Alex Grey and having some connection to Fear Inoculum. Not knowing anything about DUNE, possibly because The movie came out the year I was born and I really didn't get into Sci-Fi until m...

Re: Invincible
Invincible is an absolute blast to play on guitar. Like when I was 17 learning H. When I first heard Invincible at 2am on my couch in early May it slightly reminded me of H. and while the two songs are much different the guitar playing felt similar and still kind of does.

Re: 7empest
Best song on the album! Fuck! Best song by TOOL. Holy Fucking Shit! Best song eva! 7empest is just that (at first). This song is just too much at first, a violet storm of music being hurled at you constantly changing direction and intensity! Then you find yourself within the madness. What a journey ...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)
Maybe not for fans who continue to manufacture ways to convince themselves they like it more than they actually do. DAMN! He saw right through me! Takeo knows best. It means I think the fucking album is on par with (or very very close to) Lateralus and Aenima and better than 10,000 Days, Undertow, ...

Re: New Album Touring
Right after or before the intermission have Adam, Justin and the guitar player for Killing Joke jam CV. Right into CCtrip with a guest drummer and then ruin everyone with 7emest!

Re: Descending
So I’m hearing an extra note (or something) during the Pre-chorus riff when Adam is doing a couple pull-offs. It’s the same riff the whole time but at 6:08 right after Maynard sings “grand finale” I’m hearing what sounds like a hammer-on then to the pull-offs.

Re: Culling Voices
There is a great Bass cover on YouTube that really highlights the bass line. Justin during the heavy part is a fucking boss just gets lost a little in the mix but after watching that video you can really get it.

Hold on a Grudge? I have not necessarily heard this but considering the “theme” of Invincible I would say a “ war drum” fits perfectly!rinkwhopper wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:35 am The snare sound on Invincible makes me think of a war drum being beaten.

Re: 7empest
It’s great realizing that a “Tempest” is “a violent storm” then going over the lyrics and finding the interplay between Maynard seemingly directing these lyrics at an individual or specific person while using words relating to nature and the true meaning of the word “Tempest”.
