Descending continues to catch me off guard. Maynard sounds great, lyrics are solid, he carries a tune. But those 'instrumental' sections are unreal. Justin Adam & Danny. Lateralus grinding up on some leftover aenima riff. The music is more fucking tool than I expected, and I'm happy to see this ...

Descending's set a huge tone for this album, & it's just one song. Adam Justin & Danny.. 15 years of tool laid bare. I've been sold on this album since I heard the first track. Big fucking surprise they're right there where they left off

It's going to be a beautiful album.

9 minutes out descending can be declared sublime TOOL. Motherfuckers stepping on lateralus. Those of you waiting, your live/ album experience will be golden. <3
