Fucking pathetic they can’t fix their releases page on the official website. No Vicarious on the 10,000 days album, wrong art work on Lateralus, no The Grudge track, and etc. Of course this post belongs in the Grudge thread, but it’s so easy of a fix. Holy Ghost this band does not give a shit. I love them because of it, but also think I am a bigger dummy for caring about it.....

Definitely some nonsense going on behind the scenes since Fullscreen Direct was purchased by OneLive Media.

Album title, possible single release date, formats (iTunes, cd, vinyl), plans for touring (e.g. October 13 through to say mid-December and/or 2020).

I imagine he will talk more about the processes involved along the way and the announcements will be somewhat understated in delivery. But using JRE to promote the new album is a good idea given just how many people listen/watch his podcast.

It doesn't make sense to say he is going to make an announcement on Joe Rogan, then make the announcement before he goes on Joe Rogan. That would be retarded. But this is Tool. The only announcements to make are the album title/tracklist and when they will tour.

It would be cool to hear Maynard talk about the process of making the album but whether he will or not who knows. I like Joe Rogan but he shouldn't get high on air because as tyson has just demonstrated above, he sometimes has a tendency to do that thing stoners are so renowned for.. talk a load of shite!

Good thought and probably more likely than not. More efficient rollout tomorrow to have it in the can, know exactly when it posts, and how exactly it’s edited. Prevents possible delays too.

I think it makes enough sense. If the news is posted on social media before, during or after the podcast, it doesn't really matter. But the fact of MJK saying it on JRE the same day as it's posted elsewhere will drive a lot more traffic towards whatever the announcement is (could be album pre-order, new single for download/streaming, back catalog being up for streaming, tour tickets, etc), than just doing a press release/social media posts.

Seeing them Purge YouTube was interesting. The Pot video someone had up with like 77 million views was finally flagged as copyright material
