Just realized that Fear Inoculum is now listed in the Releases section at Toolband: Fear Inoculum

Although, they still haven't fixed the switched album art and missing tracks for Lateralus and Aenima.

Thats Alan Cross thats based out of toronto. he use to do ''the history of new music'' (or still does small segments or more? something) dude knows quite a bit about lots of bands and had shows every week on diff ones. he did tool a few times over the last 20 years or so or whatever its been. he lost his touch a little i'd say. the last time i heard him do a tool special he referred to ''stinkfist from salival'' what ? O o considering how much research this guys done through his career i can forgive him for that but hes also talked about that three over layed song from 10k as ''Tool made a 3 dimensional song'' that you layer together. he realizes its made from fans but i got the impression he thinks thats real and not just weird fandom crap. whatever i guess, dude is still pretty awesome but i noticed those two things.

he has a facebook page and talks about quite a few interesting things. knowledgeable dude. i suggest adding him to your FB's even if hes gone a tad wacky about tool. ha!

I don't think there's much there we don't already know. Not sure about the claims that Tool couldn't release new music while undergoing legal action - never heard that one before, and I' not sure I buy it. They just didn't have stuff ready to release in that time, or the creative juices flowing well enough.

I can't comment on things that happen way above my involvement level, and also am not privy to most of that stuff, anyway.
Some of those things he mentions are matters of public record, and some of them seem like conjecture.

All I know is that it took a while, now it's out, and it's good.

Fair enough but I have to disagree though. The new album is well past the point of being great and is firmly entrenched in the absolutely fucking amazing department! The boys done good.

not much of a tactic to b honest. just prob burned out on checking posts so much etc etc. the albums here. i like it but im not blown away by it and not really listening to it everyday. its sort of a calming time. once the show comes around im sure i'll get a little more jacked. i still come and narc the site though! luurker! haha not really
