What can they really say now though that hasn't been said already in the past ten years other than that the album is complete?

There are likely a number of ways they could have addressed this massive delay, much better ways than they have so far executed... but I agree, I'm not getting overly excited until they at least start discussing studio progress, if they even do that.

In my defense I had been drinking last night. Carry on about how these legal issues are are holding back their ability to create new music for the past 5 years.
Right on man! I really just want to send my heart out to Tool and all their fans. This album not being out yet has taken a toll on everyone's psyche. It's been difficult for us all, but our suffering will pay off in the end! This is only partially meant as sarcastic. Lol. It's a really big deal to us that they release something and sometimes it hurts that they haven't. They probably feel it too, but it's not that big of a deal. We should have positive thoughts towards them to help everyone involved. It's kind of funny that we care so much.

I would settle for a "Hey, it's just taking us a lot longer than we originally thought. Just hang in there and thanks for everyone's support over the years." as a proper response. Or something to that effect.

They've... said that about 5 different ways now?

True, I guess. Just not buying into the whole lawsuit thing that was put out earlier this year.

By "apparently wouldn't even touch the question" you mean he spoke about progress on the album is moving along nicely since the legal action has finished?

You seem to have a real bee in your bonnet about this. I don't think many disagree with your assessment on these excuses being crap (myself included), yet you seem to be acting like you're the only one who can see through them.

And at this point what does any of it matter? We can't do anything to move the process along through negativity.

Yeah it's all good. Its just that a lot of bad things are happening in the world right now. Some are close to home for me too. My focus is far away from what tool ends up doing.
this happened yesterday.

That was a fucked up read. Like someone penned a newspaper article to what they saw while playing Grand Theft Auto.

At the corner of Danger Ave and Reckless Dr, but to get inside you have to use the door in Sultan's Alley off of Clark Street.

It appears to be a rebroadcast of the show. I'm interpreting that to mean they downloaded the full show videos on youtube and will be showing those. Sadly, it is an hour and half one way on a school night so we won't be able to check it out.
