I have been hanging around for about 5 years now, and lurking a long time before that. I won't be going anywhere when the new album drops. Even though I don't comment too often I love the banter in this joint. I check in every morning and every night to see what is going on. Take it easy guys have a great Easter holiday and enjoy what ever it is you are doing.... Cheers....

All good... Sometimes I feel like I don't have a lot to add to the conversation. Maybe once the album drops this place is going to go crazy.....

I was talking to my wife and (almost) 13 year old son today as we watched a Foo Fighters documentary and I remarked (they are not TOOL obsessed like I am), that I was 29 when 10,000 days came out and my young fella was 3 weeks off being born.... It has been a crazy fucking long time and so much has happened... but I am still waiting on this album like a much younger man.....

I've been seeing for about 5 years or so. I imagine I will stay relatively active in FE.

I’ve been a lurker for a long time and occasionally post when I’m looking for a more “grounded” discussion opposed to the shit show that is reddit lol. I don’t see myself leaving once new album releases. This community is a great network of minds who share in a similar interest and some great intertainment to boot (Mog). It’s also been an awesome tool to use during tours to meet up and share in the experience. Fourtheye will always be apart Tool for me.

Now, back to the real question... did the 4/19 masking tape mean anything haha

I stopped caring about Tool years ago lol. The new album ain't gonna stop me from posting.

Well fellas it is Friday and nothing. Album won't be out for months it is basic logistics at this point. Single ain't coming out in two weeks fellas not gonna happen. No idea what the hang up is this time and Tool can't be bothered to provide an update. Mid June at the earliest maybe a single mid may. Hell wouldn't surprise me at this point if the album is pushed to the end of June/early July. Those of you that bought tickets for upcoming shows are going to get another greatest hits show. Shame but this Tool and they don't care about the fans at all.

^ That is about as close as I can get to a rant these days. I lost it fellas all the true hate is gone. Sadly no Tiger Woods comeback story for me. No 15th major. I will look at the Grudge with fond memories. Off to the retirement home with Kittaan. Enjoy your weekend everyone

Na man too many good albums coming out that actually have release dates

I mean i dont want another greatest hits show... but i know i will miss them when they are gone. lol

I don't think no announcement today translates to a greatest hits tour and no album until June or July. Let's all step away from the edge.

I will be shocked if new songs are not played during this small US tour.

I really think they're just gonna release the single right when the tour starts. It seems a solid plan is already in place and they just love fucking with us. Though I wouldn't be surprised, but it would be somewhat shocking, to see them troll the fanbase so hard that they just 'h-WAP' them with a mushroom stamp that says, "Greatest Hits pt. 10" when the album is supposed to be completed sans art, promotion, etc.

No edge to be found man just pointing out what seems obvious to me. You are putting an awful lot of faith in a band that has taken 13 years to finish a new album. But hey I would be happy to be proven wrong at least once when it comes to Tool.

Too early to rule out a release before the European tour yet, but it looks less and less likely each passing day. I'll be pretty surprised if there's a May release at this time

Not convinced about the greatest hits tour thing - I do expect we'll see some new stuff live this time round, though nor do I expect it to be a full "new album" tour either.
