Damn we were wrong, they broke billboard records, all social media are flooded with Tool hashtags, Youtube is flooded with reaction videos. Ænima sold 33,000 copies continuing to chart for the 105th week while it charted for the 104th week more than 2 decades ago.

Was all this planned? Did they know it will turn out like this?

I really abhor the equation of online death threats with actual death threats. It is a symptom of boomer's not understanding the internet. Maybe Maynard had legitimate threats, but it if it was just stupid comments, I doubt it.

I just hope Maynard realizes that all of his fans aren’t like that. Every major band has these nut jobs (RIP DBD) but most tool fans (minus reddit) seem pretty chill.

If I met the guy I’d love to shake his hand and just say thanks but it seems he’d do everything in his power to make sure that doesn’t happen. He never even went to the clinics.
