New Tool shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland have been announced, and all shows are on sale now!

Due to overwhelming public demand this morning for tickets to Tool's upcoming concerts in Sydney & Melbourne, The Frontier Touring Company announce a second show in both cities; Sunday 28 April at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Saturday 4 May at Sydney's Allphones Arena.

Head over to the Frontier tour page for details. Don't hold your breath for any more dates!

Logistically it makes sense, naturally, but still makes me feel for Perth...

Oh well. Buzzing. Puscifer 3 times, APC twice and Tool 3 times all in the space of a few months. Gobsmacked. My poor wallet...

Still B tickets left in Auckland as far as I can see.  Surprised it's selling out as fast as it is to be honest!

Also, the Ticketek website is much, much better than that piece of shit Ticketmaster one.  I feel sorry for our Kiwi brethren.

Good question Cheeser.  Won't be Aaron as he has the Palms release around the corner.  Besides I never understood why Aaron would be a drum tech for Danny.  Aaron is top notch drummer.  He is too fucking good to be anyone's tech.  Maybe Danny made it worth his wild financially.

As for more shows, fuck Tool.  Remember when they said they WOULD NOT TOUR AGAIN UNTIL THE NEW ALBUM WAS COMPLETE.  Yet you Aussies are eating this shit up.  Outrageous ticket prices for 90 minutes with a front man who can barely sing anymore.  I guess they like having their rectum's pulverized down under.

re: HB comments about seeling out so fast. yes i'm just as suprised as you, first show not, but second for sure. but it has been over 10 years since Tool played a full show in NZ, so maybe we shouldnt that suprised? NZ'rs love their Tool!

Who says the new album isn't complete? They still have plenty of time to release it before they tour.

I could ask Blair about Danny's drum tech, though I'd be surprised if it were Aaron again. Using Aaron was a one off - I imagine his normal drum tech will be on deck for this tour.

Unless I'm invited to the soundcheck or something, I can't see me getting anywhere near the drumkit I'm afraid.

Got GA to the second AKL show (seated for the first). Will be my 4th and 5th Tool concerts after seeing them every time they have graced our shores.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.
