Looks great - one of the best posters in a while. I also noticed on the Puscifer Instagram page that a bunch of signed Tool (and other MJK acts) posters will be on sale at the Puscifer store in Jerome over the Halloween weekend.

I know people hated the fish poster (Grand Prairie, Tx 2012) but I loved it and really regret not buying it.

This is my favorite poster since then.

Can confirm it was drawn by Adam Jones.

Anybody going to the Rajas show BMB is pimping in the newsletter? If so, make SURE you get there in time to see Fred Green. They are an all killer, no filler, local AZ band. Wish they would tour nationally again.

A friend of mine local to Phoenix posted this travel advisory for those planning on visiting Jerome.

"For anyone planning on visiting Jerome Saturday be aware that you will at the mercy of Interstate 17 coming back to Phoenix. We went on Saturday and sat for 2 hours on the way back due to an accident that shut the highway down. 2 hours wasn't bad, one time it was 5 hours. So, my recommendation is to go Friday or Sunday. If you go Saturday, give yourself a good six hours to get back, just in case. I live here and travel the 17 often. It's a 2 lane highway that has accidents often, especially when you have to be somewhere, trust me smile emoticon safe travels."

Why would you care about the set list if you're not gonna be there?

I have never understood complaining about the set list of a show you're not attending.

Either because no new songs will be played or because Tool fans are whiny retards.

Just shows a lack of progress. We know they are working. But when you actually know the band is playing a live show, and they just bring out the same shit for the yet another tour, the fan in us is let down. "Welp, nothing new"

Junior has mentioned on TDN that there is probably not any noticeable change in the stage layout for this show. The few changes that have been made are mostly behind the scenes.

As for the setlist, I think it'll be much the same as normal, but it wouldn't surprise me to see at least one new old song thrown into the mix.
I think too much got made of the "overhaul" in Blair's interview with Breck.
All we did was throw out the lighting technology that has mostly been in place since 2006 and start to put together a new interpretation of how we can put on a Tool show. The video control system got an overhaul about 2 years ago, and will be getting less of one right now, but there are some changes there, too.

It's mostly building blocks for "the next tour" (whenever that actually happens), more specifically a show that's more suited to festival shows (like this one on Saturday).
There will be some familiar looks and concepts that have been re-created into this new show, but it's been done from scratch.

There will be a completely unrelated "new show" when they do a tour of their own after the new album is out. There are already some ideas for that, and some might come from this Tempe show, but that production hasn't even been started, really. I'm hoping that show will be a fairly radical departure, but it remains to be seen.

If nothing had been said about us working on this Tempe show, it's doubtful most would have noticed, apart from a few new surprises, which would have been nice additions that are now expected changes. That's how I was seeing it.

Primus plays pretty much the same set year after year as well, but I am excited to see both of these bands on Saturday. I would much rather see a Tool set live than watch it on setlist.fm. (Not to mention the trolls that are going to add Eulogy and H to the setlist) The added bonus is that I am going to see the Grand Canyon after the show. I'm staying far away from Jerome. I will be around enough whiny retards on Saturday.

I would guess that during lateralus, primus will jam with tool, or at least one member from primus.

They don't normally do the extended Lateralus jam during festivals.

It'll all depend on how much time they have. It looks like the set length is pretty generous for this one, but when curfews and such come into play it can be anyone's guess.

They jammed with Tom morello at a festival I went to, and still didn't fill up their time.

It's really 90 minutes with the likelihood of an undeserved intermission break after five songs and some random Danny synth noodling ... I'd still go given the opportunity
