Living in north qld i shudder to think how much money ive spent to see them each time when ya tally up flights, accomdation, tickets, food, drinks, pharmaceuticals
Old TOOL is better than no TOOL at all. I'd be more than happy to see them without a new album. We have to appreciate what we can get.
Dont get me wrong, if I lived in a capital city id be happy for them to play a weekly residence spot. Have just spent so much money on them to effectively see very similar sets over the last 8 years is all. Would be good to see some new songs to help make the trip bit more worthwile is all..

Saying that, if they announced a tour tomorrow, I'd be booking flights.

Right on man. I'd rather not tally up the amount I've spent on this band over the years. I've traveled many many miles as well. Money well spent in my opinion

Thats it bro, loved every minute of it (except Gold Coast BDO) 2010 or whatever year it was.. They were terrible.

This one just played, being a festival show, youd have to think we're half a chance of a quality bootleg video popping up. Here's hoping.

Anyone else profoundly disappointed Maynard opted out of the scream in grudge? I mean we wait 13 years to hear the song again and it's incomplete. Might be my only complaint though. Those first 4-5 songs from nq > opiate were dreamlike

Disappointed - yes. Surprised - not at all. He doesn't have it in him any more.

Yeh it sucks, but id rather he save his voice to still sound good for the majority of songs, rather than blow it out trying to pull off the screams.

Apparently Adam was using a double necked SG as well for No Quarter

I just ran into Adam at the airport and aside from being starstruck, found out what was up with the talk box. He has a new guitar tech and it was wrapped with duct tape instead of Velcro straps like Frank used, the tech that passed away. After sitting in the sun all day it made things sticky when he tried to move it around. He got it all over his hands and the guitar. The tape had fused to the tubing and made it unusable. Also, the Leslie for the No Quarter opening wasn't engaged, a song that Adam didn't want to open with. It sounds like it was Maynards idea, and there was a photo opportunity involved in that decision. Now, if Adam reads this he will will know my identity. However, he asked if I was on social media to protect him on the Talkbox thing, and I don't have any followers on Twitter. Maybe you can post about the Talkbox, hellboy? And leave this pirate out of it. Lol.

Blair lurks around here. I'm sure you have already been reported to the powers that be. If you get an email from Alan Jones, don't open it. ;-)

Cool story bro! I don't think anyone's going to get all bent out of shape over a talkbox glitch. I will post a summary of the show on the blog today, and if it seems relevant I may mention it, but not sure people are quite so interested in the reasons behind it not working.

Thanks to everyone who's posted updates / pics / vids etc.

What a setlist! And from what I'm hearing the Q&A was pretty special with some cool insights into what's been going on. Bring on the new Opiate vid!

Nice job team.
