Discounts are shitty, that's for sure. When promotors do this they should also find a way to reward the original supporters of the festival.

Yeah. My brother got us some tickets back in June and I'm looking forward to going, but it does feel weird. I mean prices usually spike closer to the show. I'm happy that some peeps are getting a deal.

I have tickets for the tool show but was waiting on getting the next day, when i emailed about upgrading they said they could refund my order and i can purchase the 2 day pass, or i can wait because they will eventually discount the next day tickets to work out to be the same price, but don't know what they'll say to people who have already bought both?

That's cool of them. With over 2 months before the show I'll wait awhile before I change or add anything, but thanks for the heads up.

@azbay - Who did you e-mail? I sent an e-mail off to info@monstermashaz.com haven't got anything back yet. My issue is that they announced a cheaper 2 day pass prior to the tool tickets going on sale, then they went out of their way to say they were not offering them, and wont offer them. So we purchased our tickets, and now they have them. Hopefully they do something to make it right, this alone would have saved me $120.

I believe the fest goes until midnight on Friday and Saturday, Sunday they close at 10.

Edit: They refunded both days for me, and i purchased the 2 days. All is well now haha.

From Junior on TDN:
(regarding the implication that there would be a tour with the Tempe show)I wouldn't read too much into the comments in that interview.

The main point is that we (production) are looking at the most recent run of shows 16 months ago as what we consider to be the last that are tied to "10,000 Days". Technology changes quickly in the lighting and video world, and we were still hanging on to some bits that dated back to 2006. There is a big enough time gap since April 2014 that we decided it was time to start over.

There is no "known" time that a tour for the next album will start. Once that gets established we will start working on a new "Tool indoor show" for their own tour.

What we have started working on is something that we've never had, which is a "festival specific" production that is designed to fit a festival/outdoor space. There are many effects and production items that work well indoors that just don't look right outdoors, or aren't safe/viable because of weather and other factors. Festival appearances aren't going away, so rather than try to make our arena show fit into a festival environment every time we are just going to have 2 separate experiences. There are also things we can do on a festival stage that don't work in an arena, so we are concentrating on the positives for each environment to make 2 unique productions.

That said, this Tempe show seemed like as good of a show as any to get started on this "outdoor" concept. It will probably expand and grow (as the arena production has traditionally done) as more outdoor shows get added, so Tempe won't be a set-in-stone "Outdoor Tool" show, but more of a springboard for the future. The next outdoor show might not be for some time, but this will be the blueprint for that kind of show going forward.
It's ambitious, but since we actually had a good amount of lead-in time for this show it seemed we might as well go for it.

With the "outdoor" version underway, all that's been done for a new "indoor" show is discuss that there will be one, at some point. There are some concepts that have been discussed with band members, but nothing substantial beyond that.

No. But I have a feeling that won't be the hard part.

But just in case: If anyone has an extra single for 10/31, I may be interested.

Guess you're right on that, yeah sadly 2 of my good buddies can't make it due to children, guess they have something more important to do with them on that day? so currently have 2 extra tickets (single day) as well....

just saw sold out as well. wonder when we'll find out the other bands

also got an email that if u bought tool tix u can buy day 3 for $70 by calling the marquee box office and providing your confirmation number.

the ticketing hasn't been handled all that well for those wanting to see both days 2+3 (i've only been interested in 10/31) but they're trying to make up for it now.

Loudwire wrote an article about the event. They say it's Tool's only 2015 show.
